The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga’s eldest is home from college, though each parent has a different answer for why.
University of Delaware junior Antonia Gorga was back in the Garden State over the Sept. 27 weekend, joining her parents and the family dog, Nico, for a leisurely stroll around their Franklin Lakes neighborhood. Melissa said it was a “surprise” to have her and Joe’s only daughter visit, asking Antonia to tell viewers of Melissa’s Instagram Story why she wanted to return. Said Melissa, “What was your first question, if you would come home?”
“Are you making sauce?” Antonia answered as she walked Nico on a leash, to which the flattered mom and Jersey-style meat sauce home chef told her followers, “She misses my sauce.”
Following the Sept. 28 post, the Wife Swap cast member shared her Househusband’s IG story from their sunny daytime walk, and he had another reason for Antonia’s unannounced visit. Said Joe, “Yeah, taking a little stroll with my two girls, and my girl came back from college. Yeah, she wants to hang out with her daddy, that’s right.”
In the clip, a smiling Antonia cradled the Pomeranian in her arms, similar to how she held Nico while falling asleep on the couch, as seen in one of Antonia’s IG Stories later shared by Melissa. In the caption, the daughter wrote, “Home” with a white-heart emoji.
“She loves that dog,” Joe maintained in his video. “She loves that dog.”
What to know about Antonia Gorga’s junior year in college
Antonia began her junior year at the University of Delaware soon after her 20th birthday with a stylish new Porsche to kick things off. Her father helped her move furniture into the dorm, which fans got to see after Antonia shared a snap of her room flooded in magenta light.

Over her neat bed hung a framed poster containing the words, “Need Money for Porsche,” and an artsy trio of black-and-white skateboard decks. “Year 3,” Antonia wrote with a black-heart emoji.
Additionally, she shared a snap of her Alpha Phi sorority’s group yoga sesh.

“She’s dabbling in all three,” Melissa revealed to Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “I do think she’s leaning towards marketing, believe it or not. The last she told me she was leaning towards marketing. So that works. We can use all the marketing we can get in our family.”

Both boys bid their mom farewell by flipping her the bird once leaving the house, which the “On Display” singer caught a snap of and shared on Instagram. Antonia jumped in the comment section of the playful photo to chime in, “That looks about right.”
The younger of the two boys was part of the sophomores’ rite of passage, letting the seniors give him a crooked and wild haircut just before the start of school. Melissa shared an up-close video of Joey Jr.’s result on her social media, stating, “And then this happened.”
