Why the McBees Are “Rebranding” in Steve McBee Sr.’s Absence

The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys’ Steven McBee Jr. is taking the family business to a whole new level.

For starters, his family’s podcast Meet the McBees will now be known as More Than McBee, he announced on December 9. Why? “Because, in my opinion, with Meet the McBees, I don’t want to say it was an ego-driven podcast, but the entire reason we named it Meet the McBees was because we knew a lot of the traffic, a lot of the eyeballs that we were getting is because of The McBee Dynasty TV show, rightfully so.”

Moving forward, the rebranded audio show will veer away from only discussing episode recaps and their personal lives. As Steven explained, “For me, I have so many passions outside those two things.” The new podcast aims for new conversations, stories unrelated to the show, and “fresh, new” topics on top of what fans already love from the original.

“Yes, we’re going to recap episodes. Yes, we’re going to give you life updates in our world,” he continued. “It just gives us the opportunity to expand and have fresh, new, exciting content. And, candidly, it puts the focus more on the topics at hand rather than the McBees.”

But that wasn’t all, because Steven Jr. provided more updates about the family biz, too.

Season 2 saw the McBee brothers, including Steven, Jesse McBee, Cole McBee, and Brayden McBee, attempt to keep a rein on McBee Farm & Cattle Co. (and its many moving parts) amid their father, Steve McBee Sr.’s, mounting legal and financial woes. Now, with the patriarch serving a two-year sentence in federal prison following his 2024 crop insurance fraud conviction, Steven revealed that things are changing. In fact, “By the time my dad gets out, our businesses are going to be in the best shape they’ve ever been in.”

Business CFO, Galyna Saltkovska, and the McBee brothers’ mom, Kristi McBee, will also step up to the plate.

“This is a team effort we’re putting into these companies,” Steven continued on the podcast. “And, a lot of times when my dad was here working, if s–t really hit the fan and things got really, really, really rough, you could always just call my dad as the ultimate trump card to be the problem solver or to figure out the solution.”

Now, with Steve Sr. housed in a South Dakota federal correctional facility some 350 miles from their Gallatin, Missouri, hometown, the remaining McBees are on their own.

“I think that we were too dependent on him for the major, major problem-solving skills,” the junior admitted. “This has given us the opportunity to step up, lead by committee, and for each of us to find our own strengths within the companies.”

Steven said all three brothers have worked hard to fill their dad’s shoes on the business front, and that the youngest, Brayden, had especially stepped up to help lead the maintenance team at the family-owned chain of car washes. Of course, they manage many business-related endeavors, including their farm-raised meats and tallow.

Steven McBee Jr. teases big things for Season 3 of The McBee Dynasty

Earlier this month, at BravoCon 2025, Steven Jr. teased “so many highs and lows” both on and off the farm, promising to “show it all” on The McBee Dynasty’s upcoming third season.

“My dad’s situation, you know, we were already in an uphill fight before that, and then with that coming about, just put us in an entirely new challenge that we’ve never faced before,” Steven said. “Really, it’s just gonna be us uniting and trying to make sure we can save the farm for the next generation.”
