FORT MEADE, Fla. (TCN) — A 26-year-old woman stands accused of trying to kill a victim over a dispute about bed sheets and blankets.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, on July 27, deputies responded to a home to a report of a possible battery. The victim reportedly told authorities that Anaya Williams “had gotten extremely upset about the type of bed sheets and blankets that the victim set up in Anaya’s room.”
The altercation turned physical when Williams allegedly grabbed the victim by the hair and struck her in the head with a glass bottle, shattering it. The victim also claimed Williams “kicked and bit her.”
The victim went to call law enforcement, and Williams then allegedly hit her with a knife, causing a minor cut to her back.
According to the sheriff’s office, Williams admitted to detectives that she assaulted the victim and said it was because the victim is “overly emotional and pushes people over the edge.”
Authorities arrested Williams, and she faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
