MIAMI (TCD) — Police arrested a 44-year-old woman over the weekend after she allegedly used rabies vaccination needles to stab her boyfriend in the eye during an argument.
According to the arrest report cited by WPLG-TV, on Saturday, Nov. 25, Sandra Jimenez and her longtime boyfriend were out and got into an “ongoing argument” regarding him “looking at other women.” Jimenez and her boyfriend reportedly returned home at approximately 10 p.m., which is when their altercation became physical.
Police reportedly noted the boyfriend was on the couch, and Jimenez “jumped on top of him with two rabies needles that were for their dogs,” and stabbed him in the eyelid.
NBC Miami reports Jimenez fled the home after the incident. The victim called 911 and was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Police reportedly located Jimenez asleep in her car, and she told officers her boyfriend stabbed himself with the needles.
Miami-Dade Court records show Jimenez was charged with aggravated battery and was released on house arrest. She is required to stay away from her boyfriend.
According to WPLG, Jimenez and the victim have been together for eight years.
