An Ohio woman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl in October.
According to WTOL, Mara Silva, 32, was booked into jail for the “non-forcible” rape of the child victim. Henry County prosecutors wrote that the assaults occurred during a two-week period, between October 16 and 29 of this year.
The victim’s relationship to Silva was not disclosed. However, a temporary protection order filed on Monday suggests the victim is related to Silva and/or resides in her household.
In addition to rape, Silva was also charged with child endangerment. She remains jailed.
