Deputies in St. Francis County, Arkansas, are trying to find out who killed a local woman and stuffed her body in an abandoned, plastic tote off a rural road.
Boys discovered the container while riding four-wheelers in the area of County Road 731 just off Highway 334 on Feb. 20, and they called this in, authorities said. Investigators on Tuesday identified the victim as Troy Alexandra Strope, 42, of Forrest City, Arkansas.
“At this time investigators are working this case as a homicide and have few leads to go on and we are asking for the public help,” they wrote.
Authorities ask that anyone with information on Strope to contact the St. Francis County Investigators Division, and they promise that all calls will remain confidential.

Authorities on Tuesday reportedly searched a Forrest City home and found forensic evidence and a possible person of interest, though investigators have not publicly discussed any suspects.
“She was full of life, love, and laughter,” her goddaughter, Ahlexyas Parham, told Memphis CBS affiliate WREG. “She didn’t care what people thought about her. I don’t think a lot of people realized it but every person she came across in her life, she taught them something.”
It was not strange for Strope to fall off radar occasionally. But in this case, Strope was gone for a month.
“If she didn’t want to talk, it would only be for a couple of days and she’d be right back with us,” Parham said. “So we knew it was unusual, but in everyday life, people don’t think about things like that, until things happen.”
