A woman who faces an attempted murder charge for allegedly crashing a U-Haul truck into her ex-boyfriend’s Mercedes is now accused of victim tampering for calling and threatening him months after the incident, say authorities in Miami-Dade County, Florida, according to NBC affiliate WTVJ.
“Yes,” Sinar Borroto, 28, allegedly said when the ex asked her if she was going to send hit men after him.
She was originally arrested Aug. 25, 2023 — the “f— off” tattoo on her neck visible in the booking photo — for the aforementioned attempted murder case. Investigators reportedly claim she got into a verbal altercation with the ex.
“I’m going to crash into you,” she allegedly said before carrying out that threat. Authorities said she also struck a Kia. Multiple people had to go to the hospital because of this incident.
Months later, on Nov. 21, 2023, Borroto allegedly reached the ex-boyfriend by phone and told him she knew where he lived.
When he asked if she was going to send hit men, she answered “yes,” according to authorities.
Borroto allegedly tried to get him to drop the aforementioned attempted murder case.
Then she allegedly wrote him through Instagram in an attempt to get his phone number. According to authorities, she said she needed it for her lawyer for him to sign a paper before her court appearance.
Borroto had been on house arrest for the attempted murder case. Now back in jail, her bond is set at $15,000.
Records show she pleaded not guilty on Tuesday and is scheduled for an arraignment to take place March 4. The judge issued an order for her to stay away from the victim.
