A Florida woman teamed up with her female friend to rob a man of his Rolex, iPhone and spare car keys after luring him up to his own apartment under the pretense of engaging in sexual activity — telling him, “I am from Canada, and I love giving white boys massages,” according to court documents.
Police say Hugana Davis, 49, of Dania Beach, was arrested on Tuesday in Miami Gardens and charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling, third-degree grand theft, and organized scheme to defraud in connection with the March “bad date” scam.
According to police, a “bad date” scenario is when females “approach males at bars and nightclubs, often targeting those wearing expensive jewelry,” and agree to accompany the men to their residences to have a sexual encounter. It”s a popular modus operandi in the Miami area for female criminals and Davis is accused of doing it to at least one other person, her criminal complaint says.
“Oh, you are not drinking enough,” Davis said to the March victim after she “mixed” him a drink inside his apartment, according to the complaint, which was obtained by Law&Crime on Wednesday.
“Sip some more,” Davis allegedly said.

Cops say Davis met the man at the Liquor Mart store at 2525 NE 2nd Avenue in Edgewater. Davis’ friend, who has not been arrested and is identified as “Suspect 1” in the complaint, approached the victim and the two of them began “engaging in small talk.”
“Suspect 1 then entered the victim’s vehicle alone and stated her friend was drunk,” police allege. The two of them arrived at the victim’s apartment at around 7:40 p.m. that night, according to the complaint. Davis allegedly showed up later.
“The victim stated the defendant [Davis], whom he described as the more attractive female, arrived at the apartment at around 8 p.m.,” the complaint says. “Once inside, Suspect 1 and [Davis] mixed the victim a drink. [Davis] encouraged him to drink.”
As the three of them were drinking, Davis allegedly told him about her massage skills and started rubbing the man. “While the defendant [Davis] was giving him a massage, the victim observed Suspect 1 grabbing his credit cards,” the complaint alleges. “He yelled at her, at which point Suspect 1 told him to relax and calmed him down. Shortly after, the victim reported falling into a deep sleep.”
The next morning, police say the victim woke up around 7:30 a.m. and discovered that his iPhone was gone; $3,000 was transferred via the Zelle bank app to an account “associated with a previous victim in a similar MO case” investigated by Miami police; the Rolex he had been wearing valued at $7,000 was missing; and his spare car keys were nowhere to be found.
“Based on the facts obtained through the victim’s statement, the investigative findings, and the consistent modus operandi associated with this type of crime, it is evident that the defendant’s primary intent in gaining access to the victim’s apartment was to commit theft and fraud, and possibly to drug the victim to facilitate the commission of these crimes,” the complaint concludes. “Given that the invitation into the apartment was extended under false pretenses — specifically, under the guise of engaging in consensual social activity — and that the true intent was criminal in nature, the invitation is deemed invalid.”
Davis was identified in a photo lineup by the victim in April and then arrested on Sept. 30 for the charges she is facing, according to police. She allegedly confessed to being on the scene but denied having anything to do with any thefts, per the complaint.
Davis was being held Wednesday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $2,500 bond. She has been ordered to stay away from the victim if released.
