11-Year-Old Girl Finds Mom Dead in Detroit Home – Crime Online

A 43-year-old mom of three was found dead in her Detroit home on Tuesday, and police are investigating the death as a homicide.

Quana Foster’s 11-year-old daughter crawled in through an open window and found her mother’s body on Tuesday, WJBK reported.

“Today her job said she (was) ‘no call no show.’ I stay down the street, so I came down here to check on her,” said Armond Bohanen. “She’s the mother of my 2 kids.”

Bohanen brought the 11-year-old and hoisted her into an open window after no one answered the door.

“Everything was torn up in there,” Bohanen said. “Christmas gifts is gone, everything, TV …  She had cameras on her house, they’re gone.”

Bohanen said Foster’s car is also gone — as is her boyfriend. “We can’t find him,” he said. “His phone’s going to voicemail.”

Detroit police did not provide details about Foster’s death but said they were working toward an arrest, WXYZ reported.

Her older daughter, Kayla Lasi, told the station she’d tried to reach her mother for several days, and when she didn’t return any calls by Christmas Day, she knew something was wrong.

“I’m going to miss everything about my mama. I’m never going to be okay. I’m never going to be okay,” she said.

In addition to Lasi and the 11-year-old girl, Foster leaves behind a 9-year-old son.
