3 People Attacked On Staten Island By Pitbulls
According to the New York Post, the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon as the pit bulls escaped from a residence off York Avenue in the New Brighton section of Staten Island. Along with a 2-year-old, the dogs attacked a 13-year-old boy and a 19-year-old teen girl. Most of the bites were on the victims’ legs, police said.
The victims were taken to the Richmond University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. They are said to be in stable condition.
Police took two people, a man, 49, and a woman, 29, into custody. They’re reportedly persons of interest but no charges have been filed, according to police.
Fox New York reports that six dogs escaped the home. Four of the dogs were reportedly puppies. Cops were seen at the Staten Island residence, carrying dog crates.
