An Ohio grandmother has been charged with intentionally shooting a 6-month-old baby in the head early Saturday morning.
The baby is in critical condition at UC West Chester Hospital, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office said.
Mia Desiree Harris, the infant’s grandmother, fled the scene after the shooting, which took place shortly before 2 a.m., but was arrested a short time later after witnesses identified her as the shooter.
Deputies said Harris shot at other family members before shooting the child.
She has been charged with three counts of felonious assault and is being held at the Butler County Jail.
