South Carolina man allegedly stabbed his 72-year-old mother more than 20 times

MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (TCN) — A man allegedly stabbed his mother nearly two dozen times at her home over the weekend.

Per WBTW-TV, the victim had been stabbed more than 20 times. As of Monday, Aug. 18, she remained hospitalized for her life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office announced that the victim’s son, Raymond Prichard, was arrested on Aug. 17. He faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime and was denied bond.
