Although it’s been years since they ended their engagement, Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley have remained constant figures in each other’s lives. Fans got another look at the dynamic via Instagram last week, after Dennis reunited with Porsha and her younger sister, Lauren Williams.
The video showed the trio sharing a few drinks with their good friend/hairstylist Dominic Rahjee. Lauren reshared the reunion footage on her account, but it’s unclear if the group was celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying each other’s company.
“Season 2,” Lauren wrote in the video. The caption was an obvious reference to 2021’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha’s Family Matters. Lauren and Dominic appeared in the one-season spinoff, which documented Porsha’s relationship with her now ex-husband, Simon Guobadia, and her coparenting dynamic with Dennis.
Dennis McKinley and Lauren Williams bury the hatchet
The series began filming more than a year after Porsha and Dennis welcomed their daughter, Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley. Months following PJ’s birth, Porsha called off her engagement to Dennis because of his infidelity. The circumstances surrounding the breakup, of course, caused tensions between Dennis and Porsha’s family. Although Lauren apparently refused to speak to Dennis for nearly a year, she agreed to repair the relationship after Dennis apologized. This became quite clear in a years-old Instagram post in which Dennis was seen hugging Lauren.

“Ok let me tell you about the power of forgiveness!” he captioned the post. “When you hurt [people] it’s important to know that you also hurt [people] that love them! [Lauren] unblocked me today BUT Lauren [heart emoji, prayer hands emoji] you… first time speaking/hanging in 8/9 months … apologize to EVERYBODY.”
Porsha seemingly approved of the reconciliation, as she commented: “Man, family healing!! Thank you.”

The Atlanta Housewife addressed Dennis and Lauren’s bond in a November 2021 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“They are truly [brother and sister],” Porsha said. “They have had their ups and downs when him and I were on the outs because of family stuff. They went through it, too. So they got back together and are cool, and I love that. That’s all about being family.”

Lauren Williams shares an update on her life as a single mom
It’s no wonder that Dennis and Lauren have maintained a friendship when you consider how much they have in common. In addition to raising two young girls (Lauren is mom to 9-year-old Baleigh), they’re also navigating the single life while building their respective businesses. Dennis is an entrepreneur who’s found success in the food, music, and real estate industries, while Lauren is an influencer marketer and co-founder of GoNaked Hair, a wigs and hair bundles company led by Porsha.
Lauren continues to use her platform to promote GoNaked products and to share updates on her life as a single mom. On July 30, the RHOA sister returned to TikTok to reveal that her daughter, Baleigh, had started a new school. Lauren said she was a very hands-on mom but was rarely involved in her daughter’s classroom activities. She questioned whether she should change that with the new academic year, as she wanted to learn more about the school and possibly get to know the other parents.
“I will volunteer for stuff and I will donate every time the school asks, but I’m not the room parent,” she explained in the video. “But since this is a new environment… I think I should probably be the room parent or co-room parent.”
Lauren said she had casually mentioned the idea to her and Porsha’s mom, Diane, who refused to “let it go.”
“She’s like, ‘Lauren, you really need to be room parent,’” Lauren recalled. “I’m like, ‘You be the room parent! You’re retired. You don’t work…’ So I just signed up as a room parent.”
