Tamra Judge is sharing more details on what happened behind-the-scenes with Heather Dubrow after Heather admitted to being “afraid” of Tamra on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19, Episode 11.
Heather and Tamra’s friendship was previously brought up during Season 19, Episode 10, when Emily Simpson bluntly told Heather, “Jenn [Pedranti] asked me if I thought you just pacify Tamra, because you’re scared of her.” To that, Heather swiftly replied, “Jenn’s statement is bulls—t.”
But Heather later amended that statement in Episode 11 to add, “Was I scared of [Tamra] before? Yes. Because she’s mean.”
The question of Heather’s “fear” of Tamra dates back to a lie detector test in Episode 8, when Heather was asked, “Are you afraid of Tamra?” and answered, “Yes.”
Now, during The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, Tamra is revealing more about what happened between her and Heather off-camera after the test.
“She wanted to make a point to talk to me because of the fact that she got called out with the lie detector test…after she’s told everybody she’s not afraid of me,” Tamra told Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily. “She admitted [it], because she knew she was going to fail.”
Tamra added, “And then she told me afterwards, she’s like, ‘I gotta talk to you about this. I’m going to explain to you why I said that.’”

Heather confided in Emily and Gretchen Rossi in the Sept. 18 episode that she decided to tell Tamra a story about her father after the lie detector test.
“You remind me a little bit of my dad,” Heather said in a flashback to her conversation with Tamra. “In public, with our family, he would have like these outbursts.”
Heather shared on the After Show why she made that comparison. “I started thinking about Tamra and thinking, ‘God, that’s so weird that that’s what she does,’” Heather said of Tamra’s “outbursts.”

But Tamra insinuated in the After Show Heather’s story was out of the blue.
“I’m like, ‘Okay.’ Like whatever. So she’s making this case now, something about her father, and I’m like, I’ve known her, jeez, 13, 14 years? Maybe even longer? And I’ve never heard her explain this to me about her dad,” she said.
When Tamra denied making “outbursts with [her] family in public” in the Sept. 18 episode, it didn’t sit well with Heather.
“If there’s one thing about Tamra, it’s that she can be volatile. And you don’t know when that’s going to come at you,” Heather said at the time.
During the After Show, Heather shared more of her thinking with Shannon Storms Beador: “You wonder what is it about this person that makes me feel a certain way. It really didn’t land with her, and she changed the subject.”
But Tamra explained why Heather’s story didn’t make sense to her.
“Wait, are you comparing me to your dad that you said you never got along with? It was very confusing to me,” Tamra told Gina and Emily on the After Show.
Gina then asked Tamra if she believes that Heather is scared of her.
“Who knows. I think when I’m the person that will bring out the truth and say whatever, I think that’s scary to certain people,” Tamra responded. “Heather’s very sensitive.”

Heather told Gretchen and Emily in the Sept. 18 episode that even though Tamra “blew off” their conversation, “I wanted her to understand that sometimes she acts a way that makes me feel uncomfortable.”
On the After Show, she elaborated, “When someone behaves in a way in public that’s erratic, I find that very unsettling. If I say I’m scared of her, it’s because she does that.”
But Tamra believes that Heather is only “scared of what might come out of [her] mouth.”
“I think she has a hard time when it goes out of those boundaries and that’s not safe for her,” Emily reasoned on the After Show. “So I think her being sensitive and uncomfortable translates into ‘scared’ when it’s not ‘scared’ in a traditional sense.”

The RHOC ‘Wives weigh in on Tamra Judge’s friendships
While Tamra might be unclear if Heather is afraid of her, the other ‘Wives have plenty to say on the subject.
Gretchen told Jenn she believes Emily is also afraid of Tamra.
“When Tamra’s in the room, I feel like they’re always making excuses and coming up with this and that,” she said on the After Show, and added, “I think Emily was agreeing and understanding that sometimes Tamra can be scary. Sometimes Tamra goes for the jugular. She goes below the belt.”
Jenn added, “You’re saying you felt like these two women, who are very close with Tamra, opened up and showed a side to you that made you feel like, ‘Look, we see it too.’”
