When Emily Simpson brought her castmates together to raise awareness and money for The Innocence Center on Season 19, Episode 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, she didn’t expect Gina Kirschenheiter and Terry Dubrow to have a moment in the process.

It all started when Emily annouced on stage at a cowboy-themed fundraiser for The Innocence Center that Gina, her boyfriend Travis Mullen, and their real estate business The Gated Group had donated $5,000.

“Wait, wait, wait,” Terry interrupted from the crowd as he reached for Emily’s mic and came up on stage. Gina exclaimed, “Oh no! He’s going to out-Dubrow me!”

Gina also joked in her confessional interview, “God, can a b—h have a moment?”

It turned out Terry and Heather Dubrow had generous plans as well.

As Terry took the stage, he announced, “We want to do what we can. We’re going to match that $5,000.”

Gina joked that Terry and Heather were stealing her limelight. But, she added with a laugh, “Actually, I thought they were going to pledge more. They’re like, ‘$6,000!’ I’m like, ‘Put your f—king paddle down, Terry!’”

Gina Kirschenheiter and Terry Dubrow react to Emily Simpson’s event for The Innocence Center

During the episode, Emily opened up about her involvement with The Innocence Center (previously known as the California Innocence Project), sharing that one of the biggest focuses of the organization is to help exonerated people re-enter society after prison. With that in mind, she and The Innocence Center threw the event to raise funds to help an exoneree named Anthony return to school and become a diesel mechanic.

Gina was one of those touched by Anthony’s story, which prompted her donation.

“People get falsely imprisoned every day. And the selflessness of these people—how had they work night and day. You can’t help but want to give and support. And get involved,” she said.

Before Terry announced his donation, he took a moment to praise Emily’s hard work on the evening, noting, “This is a wonderful event, and a great charity.”

In addition to their financial support, Terry, Heather, Gina and Travis all happily leaned into the event’s western theme with their attire for the night. Although Heather joked about Terry’s ensemble, which the group compared to Colonel Sanders, Gina gushed about Travis’ getup, declaring, “I like cowboy Trav.”

“Travis looks very good as a cowboy,” she added. “It’s really hot.”

Terry Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, and Tamra Judge support Heather Dubrow’s event for The Trevor Project

Elsewhere in the episode, Gina, Terry, Emily, and Tamra also showed their support for another important cause.

Heather partnered with Junior Cookies in Los Angeles to create an Oreo Confetti Cheesecake Cookie, with the proceeds going towards The Trevor Project. As she launched the item, her husband and castmates looked emotional as Heather gave a speech.

“The Trevor Project is an incredible organization that has a hotline for youth in crisis,” Heather said in her confessional. “I’ve been involved with them for a long time—I think it’s almost ten years…I think we can all agree that kids in crisis need help. That is exactly what The Trevor Project does.” Heather added that “every 45 seconds, an LGTBQ+ youth tries to commmit suicide.”

The cause is personal for Heather and Terry, who are raising three children who identify as LGBTQIA+.

“Terry and I today are going to pledge $50,000 to continue all the incredible work that you do,” she announced in the Oct. 9 episode.

Don’t miss Heather getting candid on her and Terry’s marriage struggles and how they work through it.
