Bruno Tonioli Eliminated by Joe Gorga as Harry Jowsey Wants to Be The Don

The cracks in the family are beginning to form on The Mob. Episode 3 began with Joe Gorga still in power as The Don, picking up in the aftermath of last week’s cliffhanger, as he decided who the next person he’d whack (eliminate) from the game would be. WARNING: Spoilers for Episode 3 of The Mob ahead.

While some players have remained complacent with Gorga being in charge, others want a new Don to take over, and the divide became more evident in the November 2 episode. Scroll down for a full recap of everything that went down.

Who was whacked in Episode 3?

Bruno Tonioli was the second player whacked. The Dancing With the Stars judge had begun to develop a close relationship with Demi Engemann, and since Gorga was also in an alliance with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, he was worried about losing his No. 1.

Gorga’s decision came down to Tonioli or Aida Turturro, whom Gorga felt was performing weak in the family jobs, which wasn’t benefitting them when it came to earning money. When Debi Mazar asked Gorga why he whacked Tonioli, he played coy. “I didn’t whack Bruno. You all whacked Bruno,” he told the group.

In a confessional, he explained, “I have to protect myself. Now, I’m switching the narrative and I’m putting it on them. I’m putting them all against each other. I’ve decided to whack Bruno because Chelsea [Lazkani] told me he has a close relationship to Demi. She was starting to build an alliance. The strategy is to keep Demi alone in an alliance so she’s loyal to me and only me.”

Who is The Don in Episode 3?

Gorga remained The Don in Episode 3. All of the players voted for who they wanted to be the boss of the family, and the majority of the group decided that Gorga would stay in power.

Harry Jowsey had his eye on the position, though. Lazkani and Maria Georgas felt that a new Don should take Gorga’s place, and they agreed to back Jowsey in his pursuit at the next voting ceremony.

Later on, Willam Belli also began to express interest in a new Don taking over, and suggested Turturro as the replacement, which Georgas was also on board with, as she noted having Jowsey in power “scared” her. Miller wanted to remain in Gorga’s good graces, so he filled him in on Belli’s skepticism, as well as Jowsey’s desire to become the next Don.

Georgas spoke about Jowsey’s plan in front of Engemann, as well, which led the Mormon Wives star to bring her concerns to Gorga. She feared she would be the first person Jowsey whacked if he was Don, and urged Gorga to whack Jowsey next before he could take over.

When Jowsey met with Gorga, he made sure to take the attention off of himself and inform him of the plan to have Turturro become the next Don, leaving Gorga confused about whether Jowsey or Turturro was the right person to whack next.

Who got envelopes in Episode 3?

For their job this week, the family members had to clean up the poker room and boudoir in the villa, and there were 10 total envelopes ($30,000) available to claim. The group was split into two teams and had to restore the rooms to exactly what they looked like the day before. As The Don, Gorga got to sit out of the job.

Gorga picked Romeo Miller to be the foreperson who would oversee the details of the job. He selected Georgas, Turturro, Jowsey, Shane Parton, and Belli to clean the poker room, and Lazkani, Mazar, and Engemann to clean the boudoir.

Because the boudoir was smaller, Miller felt more confident in getting that room just right, so he spent more time giving the ladies instructions, while the team in the poker room felt abandoned. The group only secured four envelopes ($12,000) from the job: three from the boudoir and one from the poker room.

Since Gorga wasn’t part of the job, he could only take everyone else’s word about what happened. Miller called Turturro “straight chaos” for how she reacted to the way he ran the challenge. He assured Gorga he wanted him to remain Don, which earned Miller an envelope of cash.

Belli also got an envelope after he straight up told Gorga, “I want some money in that purse!” The RuPaul’s Drag Race star told Gorga he’d vote him as Don if he got an envelope, and it worked. After those two envelopes were given out, Gorga kept the other two for himself.

Meanwhile, Engemann continued to hide the fact that Gorga gave her an envelope after the first job. While she came clean about getting one from the second job, he urged her to keep quiet about getting two, which put her in a tough position. “I don’t like keeping secrets,” Engemann said. “I don’t like hiding things.” Still, Engemann swore on her kids that she wasn’t lying.

The guilt eventually crept in, though, and she later came clean to Lazkani, Mazar, Parton, and Georgas.

Next week, we’ll find out who Gorga whacked next (it came down to Jowsey or Turturro), and whether the group voted for a new Don to replace him.
