Next Gen NYC’s Gia Giudice has a lot of mixed feelings as she moves into her new apartment.
On November 4, the daughter of The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice took her Instagram followers into her move to Jersey City, a momentous milestone in the works for some time. She first shared a look into her last night at her family’s Montville home in New Jersey, marking the occasion with a cake that read, “Bon Voyage love your family.” Teresa shared a pic of the cake, adding, “Love you so much.”
Gia wrote over a snap of her belongings packed and ready to go, “Move is so close.”
In her last get-ready-with-me video from the family home on Instagram, Gia said Teresa; her stepdad, Luis “Louie” Ruelas; and boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, would all be there to see her off.
“Moving is obviously really exciting but super scary,” she revealed. “I have always just loved being at home with my family and just being here with everybody. But, this move is definitely necessary, just for me, my life, and my career, and I’m so excited for these next steps.”
She felt especially ready after appearing on Special Forces, discovering she was “totally OK on [her] own.” She added, “Things happen in life for a reason, and I am so ready, but I also know that I am going to be crying so much tomorrow. I can already feel it.”
Despite her decision to be closer to work in New York City, she’s never that far from home. In fact, her mom already asked her to sleep over later this week to drive younger sister Audriana Giudice to school.

Gia promised to take followers “room-by-room, step-by-step” once settled into the new place, but she’s already making great strides in the process. She explained in the aforementioned video that she and her boyfriend took a trip to BJ’s Wholesale Club to buy cleaning products for the new home. The last item on her list? Food shopping.

“It’s just so crazy, and I’m kind of done,” Gia continued. “I’ve done everything.”
Days ahead of the move, Gia created a TikTok video documenting her very first commute on the Port Authority Trans-Hudson train with Christian. On her way to the Big Apple to see Next Gen NYC cast member Brooks Marks, she invited followers to take a look at her new city’s historic downtown district.
“Look how cute this little neighborhood is,” she said. “Wait, I’m dying. This is so beautiful. This is going to be my new home … I’m so excited for this.”

Teresa made clear on the Oct. 7 episode of Sherri that she was happy for her eldest of four, despite feeling “not ready yet.”

“But I’m so happy for her because I went living from my parents to living with my husband [Joe Giudice], and I never got to live on my own, so I want my kids to experience what I wasn’t allowed to,” the Housewife explained. “I want my kids to experience what I didn’t experience, so I’m happy for her. I swear, I’m so happy for her.”
As Gia once had to clarify, Teresa never kicked her out of the house.
