He’s so popular with the ladies that former Below Deck Down Under chief stew Aesha Scott once joked everyone wanted “a piece” of Captain Jason Chambers at BravoCon 2023. Flash forward to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s crossover charter trip, and Britani Bateman was the Housewife in the hot seat this time, accused by Bronwyn Newport and Meredith Marks of flirting with Jason. But Lisa Barlow jumped in to put a stop to the line of questioning, involving chief stew Daisy Kelliher in the process.
“Enough with the pile on,” Lisa scolded the ‘Wives during Season 6, Episode 8. “Like, Captain Jason’s not interested. It’s like, duh!”
As Daisy leaned in to pour Lisa a drink, Lisa tried to get her take on the drama. “Right? Back me up on this, Daisy. Back me up,” Lisa said to her. “Daisy, come on! Is he interested? Say no. Hard no.”
As Daisy laughed uncomfortably, she dodged the question, answering, “I have no idea.” Lisa added, “It’s ridiculous. And like I feel bad for him. I wouldn’t want my name dragged around in a conversation that I’m not a part of. Don’t do this to people.”
Why the RHOSLC ‘Wives believed Britani Bateman was pursuing Captain Jason Chambers during dramatic charter
After an explosive Night 1 dinner aboard motor yacht Katina, Bronwyn explained in the Nov. 4 episode why she chose not to sleep in her shared bed with Britani.
“I’m not interested in getting in a bed that maybe you brought one of the crew into,” Bronwyn said at breakfast on Day 2. “Well, the last time I saw you up here, you were trying to get one of the crew to go downstairs with you.”

Producers flashed back to show Britani suggestively asking Captain Jason for a tour of the yacht, and him promising one another time.
“Did you not tell Captain Jason, ‘I’d love to get out of here?’” Bronwyn also asked Britani at breakfast, and Meredith added to the allegation. “I mean, the girls and I were sitting here, and he was coming out of your room last night,” Meredith revealed. “To me? I don’t know.”
But Britani insisted Jason was just “fixing the AC”—and producers backed up the claim with footage of Jason tinkering around the air conditioning unit in Britani’s room.
Daisy Kelliher reveals a surprising guest request on the RHOSLC charter
Rumors of Britani’s interest in Captain Jason came on the heels of the Housewife poking fun at Heather Gay for “canoodling” with him during the charter in Episode 7.
“Jason and I are friends. We have a history,” Heather answered. “We’ve f–ked around before. It’s like, there’s nothing there.”
Later, during a confessional interview, Heather claimed she didn’t remember that conversation.

“I said that?” she asked, and later said, “You can’t use that. I don’t know why I said that to her. Delete. Delete.”
But in the Nov. 4 episode, Daisy shared with Jason that Heather had made a special request for the second night’s dessert.
“Heather said something about you having dessert with them, because you missed last night,” Daisy explained. “And she asked if you could sit topless having dessert.”

When Captain Jason ventured out for dessert with the RHOSLC cast during the Nov. 4 episode, he walked right into the middle of Meredith and Britani having a heated argument, after Britani mentioned a rumor she saw that Meredith’s husband Seth Marks had a “mistress.” Heather greeted Jason as he sat down next to her, but the fight continued.
“How’s the dessert, ladies?” he asked the table, as Meredith and Britani continued to go at each other. Meredith cried, “Oh she’s vile, get her away from me. I knew it a year ago, I know it again now.”
At that, Jason got up silently and walked away from the table, leaving his dessert behind. Lisa noticed, and commented, “Look at how he just gracefully declined.”
Inside Katina, Daisy promised Jason, “I will get you your dessert—but you’re not meant to be there.”
Heather was upset with her fellow ‘Wives, and chastised them, “Wasn’t that great? You guys chased him off the f—king table.” Lisa chimed in, “That was embarrassing.”
