Pennsylvania police arrested a man last week who allegedly bit off a woman’s lips.
On Saturday, Ridgeway Borough police responded to an apartment and found Hunter Rooney, 23, and the victim on the front porch. The woman, who was bleeding profusely from her mouth and lower face, told officers that Rooney had bitten her, according to WTAJ.
Police wrote that the woman’s lips were “hanging off her mouth.”
Rooney allegedly screamed at and pushed responding officers before he was placed in a police cruiser. He reportedly gave police permission to search the apartment, admitting there were marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms inside.
A search of the apartment uncovered a stolen black Glock 19, which Rooney claimed belonged to a roommate. However, police said the roommate was not present at the scene.
According to WTAJ, police discovered a bag possibly containing psilocybin, in addition to three digital scales and multiple bongs containing a brown residue.
Rooney, who allegedly confessed to selling or trading the mushrooms for marijuana, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, possession with intent to deliver, intent to possess a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is currently free on $25,000 bond.
