It’s anchors aweigh for Below Deck Mediterranean’s Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron now that their baby boy is ready to set sail.
The proud mom and dad are “starting him young,” letting almost-6-month-old Kayden Cameron Gallagher (jokingly) take the helm of a boat docked in their Sydney, Australia, hometown, according to the Irish boatswain’s Dec. 22 Instagram post. The yachties captured a handful of memories of the little one behind the wheel on Nathan’s lap, following in his parents’ footsteps. In another snap, the trio posed as a family with the blue of sea and sky behind them.
The Aussie mom of one commented with two red-heart emojis, to which her official boyfriend of one year responded with a pair of heart hands. Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7 head chef Dave White, himself a new dad, also offered “respect bro” underneath the post.

Nathan and Gael’s infant son taking the wheel of a mega yacht wouldn’t be a far stretch for those who recall that, just last month, the parents took Kayden for his very first swim lessons at the community pool.

“So proud of our little fish,” Gael wrote on the Nov. 2 Instagram post. “So comfortable and confident in the water. Can’t wait to get you your first snorkel.”
Still, the seafaring family of three came up for air to celebrate the holidays down under, marking what will be Kayden’s very first Christmas. As Gael put it when they visited Sydney’s 2025 Martin Place Christmas Tree, “Tis the most exciting Christmas yet.”

“F–k if I know, on a flight? On a flight around the world, I would say,” the dad of one admitted. “We’re going to explore the world together with our new best friend, so we don’t know yet.”

In Season 10, Episode 13, Gael — joining the M/Y Bravado for a one-off charter — shared details over their breakup, citing long distance as a major factor. “Distance did take a toll,” she said.
“After last charter season, Nathan and I traveled for six weeks,” she said in her confessional. “And I went back to Australia; he stayed in Ireland.”
Since Nathan moved to Australia, he’s had a few LOL-worthy moments as a first-time dad.
