The budding romance between Angelica Jensen and Jason Cohen on Vanderpump Rules took a sharp dive after her pool party.
Even though cameras were not rolling at the time, Angelica provided fellow SUR hostess Audrey Lingle with a detailed debrief on everything that went down during Season 12, Episode 4.
“Oh my god, I literally want to throw up. Don’t even say his name,” Angelica vented to Audrey, before explaining how she and Jason had gone out to a bar called Barney’s after vibing at the rooftop get-together she hosted to get to know her new co-workers.
“Right away, I kind of clocked the fact that he knew every single girl at Barney’s,” Angelica said. “Like, that was kind of a red flag.” Â

Then, Angelica said Jason spotted “some girl” he knew across the bar and went to say hello to her. About five minutes later, the woman was “sitting in his lap,” and they were “all over each other,” according to her account.
“Jason and I spent the entire day canoodling at the pool,” she added in a confessional. “And then at the end of the day, he’s canoodling another girl. This man is a serial canoodler. Watch out for him.”
After she left the bar angry, Jason unfollowed Angelica on Instagram.
“And I asked him, like, ‘Why did you unfollow me?'” she told Audrey. “He’s like, ‘Long story. Don’t think about it.'”

After Jason shared a similar version of events with his cousin Chris Hahn, he asked Angelica to chat with him outside in the famed SUR alley.
From Jason’s POV, he did not understand why his friend “started being really flirty” and “kissing on” him, but he still expected Angelica to be more assertive and come over to “save” him — and maybe even initiate a makeout session.
Angelica, for her part, chimed in that Jason could “definitely handle” himself and opened up about how his behavior had “really hurt” her. When she asked if Jason had another romantic “situation going on,” he answered, “I’m not in a relationship, but I have options.”

Jason’s response did not sit well with Angelica, especially when he doubled down that his “options were there” already when they recently met each other.
“OK, well, I’m definitely not an option,” she shot back, noting that he hadn’t been as forthcoming about his dating life as she had, including that she still lived with her ex. “So, just saying that, I feel like you do hide some things. It gives me a bad vibe, I’m not gonna lie.”
As the conversation quickly devolved, Jason accused Angelica of trying to rush into a relationship with him (which she denied even wanting) and said that she was already acting like he was her “boyfriend” and had “cheated on” her. When he claimed that she had been too “clingy” with him from the jump, Angelica abruptly ended their talk and returned to work.

Later on VPR‘s Dec. 30 episode, Kim Suarez visited Angelica’s apartment and filled her in on how Jason was really “shaken up” after their one-on-one went awry. Kim also asked if she would be willing to “have another conversation” with him.
“I’m not, like, looking for a boyfriend, but if he impresses me and apologizes and takes accountability, then, yeah, I’m down,” Angelica replied. “He hasn’t fully blown it yet.”
Jason, meanwhile, opened up to a producer about his regrets surrounding the Angelica drama.
“I’m at this point where I feel like I want to keep trying, because I see a spark, I see potential,” he explained. “I should have listened a little bit more and probably just shut up. And she’s a really hot girl.”
So, he consulted Marcus Johnson to help him “craft a good text” to send to Angelica and invite her to meet up with them after her girls’ night wrapped.
Even though Angelica wrote back, “I might be down,” Jason remarked that he was more than satisfied to receive anything other than an outright rejection.
