Cynthia Bailey is not taking life “for granted” after celebrating her birthday. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 friend turned 59 years old on Feb. 19, and is opening up about her life today ahead of the Season 17 RHOA premiere.
Cynthia took to Instagram on Feb. 23, where she posted a super stunning selfie of herself. She then took to the caption of the post, where she thanked everyone for their birthday wishes, while reflecting on getting older and being in her last year of her 50s. “This was my last birthday that will be celebrated in my 50s (yep the 50 Cynt era is over lol) and I did it quietly with my family,” she wrote.
“As I get older, the focus is more on ME. Self love absolutely matters!!!” she continued. “My health, my wellness, my mental, my life, my family, my faith, my dreams, my protection, and my peace are my priorities. Getting older is a luxury, and a blessing. I don’t take it for granted.”
She continued, expressing her gratitude for her life today. “I am so grateful [and] excited for every single moment of LIVING, LOVING [and] LAUGHTER with my person and my people,” she added. “Life really is too short. No matter how old you are, remember to live it to the fullest. You only get one.”

Viewers will get to see Cynthia and her friendships on the new season of RHOA, which premieres on Bravo on Sunday, April 5, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. She’ll be back as a friend to the housewives for the upcoming Season 17. Per an announcement for the new season, “Cynthia returns as a friend, balancing her business ventures while keeping the group centered. With friendships constantly tested and drama unfolding at every turn, she proves to be a steady, calming force in the heart of the storm.”

Cynthia took to Instagram shortly after the RHOA Season 17 trailer was released, where she shared her cast photo for the season. “Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is on the way! Who’s ready?”
She also took to her podcast, Humble Brag with Crystal and Cynthia on Feb. 23, where she gave a small tease of what to expect from the brand new season, noting that the teaser for the new season was “very animal, very wild if you will.” “And I think that’s a good way to describe the season, upcoming Season 17,” Cynthia said during the episode. “I’m excited.”

Cynthia Bailey reveals where she stands with RHOA alum, Kandi Burruss, today
Cynthia is not only focusing on herself, but she is also focusing on her friends, too. The mom of one took to Instagram on Jan. 23, where she revealed that she visited NYC, where she saw RHOA alum, Kandi Burruss, perform during her run as Angélique in & Juliet on Broadway. Cynthia snapped a photo with Kandi on stage after the performance was over, and took to the caption where she shared a major update on their friendship.
“Congrats [Kandi] on an incredible performance!” Cynthia captioned the series of photos. “I had such a blast & enjoyed finally catching up! Long overdue. Soooo proud of you!!! Continue to shine!”
