As Andy Cohen revisited Amanda Frances’ memorable first season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during Part 1 of the Season 15 reunion, he couldn’t help but recall another past diamond holder’s inaugural run on the show.

“Amanda, not since Camille Grammer, Season 1, have I seen someone enter this group and light up the audience,” Andy remarked. “So, let’s start with the positive, shall we?”

He went on to read several viewer comments that mentioned everything from how Amanda “got all the ladies activated” with minimal effort to her having “the cutest family.” But then, Andy pointed out, “On the other hand, many fans were taken aback by how you speak about your husband,” before reading a submitted question that claimed Amanda had made Eddie Tsivislavsky “sound like a freeloader.”

“OK, Eddie’s not a freeloader,” Amanda responded, explaining that her husband works and even owns a company. “He’s a good, good, good, good man. He takes care of me in a million ways every day. He knows I make more money than him. He knows I’m super proud of it.”

Amid plenty of commentary from her castmates on the matter, Amanda insisted that neither she nor Eddie considered it “disrespectful” that she talked about the fact that she’s the one who purchased their family home from Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky in 2022, for example. However, Amanda revealed that Eddie did have something to say about her discussing on camera that she makes “more in a month than he makes in a year.”

“He was like, ‘Yes, that is true. And maybe you didn’t have to say it that way. And it is true,'” Amanda claimed, before going on to deny accusations from several of her castmates that she had “emasculated” Eddie throughout Season 15.

Following more debate among the cast, Andy further informed Amanda, “The criticism was not limited to how you speak about Eddie. You were getting critiqued about millennial phrases, bragging about designers, or the money queen of it all.”

The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host went on to ask if there was one piece of fan commentary that had particularly “surprised” Amanda.

“The designer stuff a little bit, or the bragging stuff a little bit, because I thought I was on a show about rich women with cool s–t,” she said. “I thought there was a lot of designer talk. I thought it was a part of it.”

Erika Jayne, meanwhile, reacted to Amanda’s statement, countering, “That’s one part of the show you’re on; that’s not the lead part of the show you’re on. The lead part is your f–kin’ heart and soul. And we’ve had a hard time getting to your heart and soul.”

After Andy proceeded to read even more tweets that mentioned her “need to one-up and compete with everything the women have acquired,” as well as her “mentioning the labels so much,” Amanda further defended herself.

“I think everyone brought up labels,” she reasoned. “Often on the show, I would bring it up, [and] there would be this pause, silence after. But other people would say, ‘This is this; this is this…'”

From there, Kyle asked if Amanda felt as though she “had to” call attention to her designer pieces when she joined the group, opining that “it came off like that.” Erika, meanwhile, recalled Amanda instructing a cameraperson to make sure they got a shot of her Chanel bag during the cast trip to Sedona.

“You cannot lead with that s–t,” Erika declared. “We are too old and too experienced. We want you, not the veneer.”

Amanda, for her part, explained that she’d simply thought her Chanel bag was “cute” and added, “I think the misconception [is] that I was somehow hiding me.”

That’s when fellow RHOBH Season 15 newcomer Rachel Zoe chimed in to unpack her own personal issues with Amanda, who maintained that if the other women “knew who [she] was,” they would not have misinterpreted her words and actions, as seemed to be the case, to her.

“We’re trying to know you,” Erika replied. “You’ve rubbed everybody the wrong way. It’s hard to do that in this group.”

Amanda’s final word on the subject? “Well, I did it.”

In the meantime, find out everything to know about the drama still to come on the RHOBH Season 15 reunion.
