Kyle Cooke is really feeling Amanda Batula’s absence during the second-to-last weekend of Summer House Season 10.
As Kyle enjoys a day on the water with his Hamptons housemates in a new preview from Episode 13 (airing on Tuesday, April 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT), he remarks to some of the guys, “It feels weird without Amanda here.”
That’s when Jesse Solomon asks him, “Do you feel like you’re able to have more levity and just a good time this weekend because she’s not here?” Kyle’s response: “I mean, yeah. Dude, when I’m just being myself, I feel like I just irritate her, if I’m being honest.”

Jesse further comments, “That’s not a good way to feel. … You’re different people, but that’s OK. But the reality is, you guys are either just gonna accept and love each other for who you are, because you have your faults, and she has hers, or… it’s… I don’t know.”
Kyle shuts down the conversation at that point, responding, “Can I be honest? Can we just not talk about this? I’m already like, I was having a good weekend.”

Earlier in the same Summer House clip, Amanda calls Kyle to check in with him and Ciara Miller via FaceTime. “I miss you guys!” Amanda exclaims to the duo as they relax on a boat. Immediately, Kyle brings up Amanda’s reaction to a comment that West Wilson previously made about enjoying the group’s night out without her.
“When West said, ‘Best night of my life,’ and you said, ‘Damn,’ was that, like, sarcasm?” Kyle asks, to which Amanda replies, “No, like, way to rub salt in the wound.”

After Kyle responds, “Oh, it was? Wow. So, she was feeling jealous,” his wife continues, “Yeah, West’s best night of his life is the one night I’m not there? Yeah, that feels great.”
Ciara, for her part, simply says, “Oh, damn,” as Kyle adds, “You made it about you, but I get it.”
Before hopping off the call, Amanda admits, “Of course I did.”

As for why Amanda was missing from the previous night’s festivities, as well as the aforementioned group outing in the Hamptons, she previously explained her absence during Episode 12.
“Obviously, this summer, for Kyle and I, has been rough so far,” Amanda told a producer. “And I feel like it’s sort of catching up to me at this point. I’ve been showing up with a smile on my face every weekend and being, like, the joyful, bubbly Amanda, and trying to power through it all. And it’s to a point where, like, I can’t take it anymore, and I just need to be alone right now.”
Amanda also offered Ciara some more intel on her decision to stay back in New York City when the latter called her to find out her real reason for bailing on the cast’s penultimate weekend of the summer.
“The idea of, like, going out there is overwhelming me so much,” Amanda said. “I was like, I just need to, like, not go. … I just need to, like, give myself some time.”
Echoing his above remarks, Kyle, meanwhile, admitted in a confessional, “Here I am, for the first time in a long time, having fun, feeling a little more lighthearted, feeling a little like myself, and it’s ’cause my wife’s nowhere to be seen. And that is a rude awakening. And it makes me realize just how effed we really are.”
