
CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (TCN) — A Domino’s delivery driver has been charged after allegedly hitting a customer with his car because he was irate that he had not received a tip.
According to a witness, 36-year-old Zachary Nicholus Walton allegedly got upset with a customer he was delivering a pizza to and intentionally struck the person with his car on April 29, WALA reports. According to a probable cause statement obtained by the outlet, Walton can allegedly be seen on video footage cursing at the customer and the witness. He allegedly called the two “f—ing rude” and said, “What are you going to do, b–ch? Come get me,” as he got into his car. The victim’s name has not been released.
The New York Post reports the victim was knocked onto the hood of the car and sustained shin scrapes, a hand injury, and lingering pain.
Police found Walton at a Domino’s. He allegedly admitted to striking the customer and leaving the scene. WALA reports Walton was charged with armed criminal action, first-degree assault or attempt, and leaving the scene of an accident.
People reports Walton has previously served time for domestic assault and false imprisonment.
His first court appearance is scheduled for May 6, per WALA, and the Post reports he is being held on no bond.
