Justin Assad isn’t holding back on his feelings for Southern Charm’s Charley Manley, including what he deemed to be her dating “red flag.” He shared all the details with his mother during Southern Hospitality Season 4, Episode 11, as the two chatted on the phone.
“Oh my god, she’s amazing. She’s stunning. She’s smart. She’s funny. She comes from a good family,” Justin gushed during the May 13 episode.
Then he turned the conversation to a potential “problem” with Charley. “I know it’s a green flag for you, but it’s a red flag for me,” he joked with his mother. “[Charley] is a huge Swiftie.”
Turns out, that instantly got Charley’s mom’s approval. “I love Taylor Swift,” Justin’s mother responded. “Definitely check. That goes to the top of the list.”

Charley and Justin first went public with their relationship during the Southern Charm Season 11 Reunion Part 2 (which aired at the end of March) and were seen out together for the first time as a couple during Southern Hospitality’s April 22 episode at Joe Bradley’s 30th birthday party, which was filmed in August 2025.

During Southern Hospitality‘s May 13 episode, Justin spent much of the Dominican Republic trip on FaceTime with Charley. As he hung up the phone with her during the episode, he uttered, “Love you.”
Then, he confessed to TJ Dinch, “I think I love her.”
Producers asked Justin why he’d waited until he hung up the phone before making his confession. “I feel like I didn’t want to scare her. Maybe it’s too soon on the FaceTime, but, I feel like I haven’t said ‘I love you’ to anybody too soon,” he explained.
Justin previously revealed how the couple began their relationship in the April 22 episode. “We fell in love in a hopeless place: Instagram DMs,” Justin joked in a confessional. “We grabbed drinks over the weekend, and we had a pretty f–king amazing date.”
He continued, “I lied to her about locking myself out of my apartment, so we had a cheeky little sleepover. We haven’t separated too much since.”

Where Charley Manley and Justin Assad’s relationship stands today
Charley and Justin are still together, with the couple regularly sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media. On April 8, Charley posted a photo of the two playing darts together, and Justin wrote, “My whole heart” beneath the post.
In an April 15 Instagram post, Justin shared a pic of the two cuddled up at a restaurant table. Charley posted an Instagram reel on May 1 of Justin lifting her as she joked, “Yeah, I work out.”
