When Carl Radke showed up to the Hamptons for Summer House Season 10, he says he felt more like himself than he had in several years. Carl has long been open about his sober journey, and he revealed in an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this season that where he is in his life today has him “feeling confident” in a different kind of way.
“The season felt really good. I was, I think, for the first time in a couple of years, actually since I got sober, feeling confident in my own skin. And I felt so good going into the summer. I was excited. I was single, I’m ready to have fun,” he shared with The Daily Dish back in January, around the beginning of the season. “I’m launching my new business. I felt the best I’ve ever felt going into this season. Because I just felt like I had some time to heal [and] just get myself back together. And just be more comfortable in my own voice — just getting back to Carl.”
He went on to add, “So I think what you’re about to watch this whole season, hopefully, is like Carl — really me, you know? Just who I am, like my core self. And I hope you guys like it,” he said, with a laugh.

Since then, the NYC-based non-alcoholic bar and cafe has become a hub, with a number of his friends from across Bravo popping up as well as customers showing up for the tasty menu and cool vibes, which include events throughout the week. In fact, back in March, he celebrated Soft Bar’s big six-month anniversary since opening the space. “To our community, supporters, partners, and investors – thank you for showing up and helping bring this space to life,” an Instagram message read timed to the anniversary. “We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to keep serving this community we love. Cheers to what’s ahead!”

Carl Radke shares an update on his mom, Sharon, after Summer House Season 10
His mom, Sharon Radke, of course, attended his big Soft Bar party as seen in the season, and Carl recently shared a sweet update on how his mom is doing today. In May, timed to Mother’s Day, he shared a sweet tribute to his mom. “Moms are the best. Happy Mother’s Day! I love you! And a Happy Mother’s Day to all the other Moms, we love you!” he wrote at the time alongside a photo of him with his mom.Â

Carl Radke reveals what else he is up to in NYC when he’s not working
And, you can bet that Carl has plenty on his plate to keep him busy these days, as he revealed in our chat with him back in January. “What keeps me busy… I mean, I’ve been working on, obviously, Soft Bar. I mean, I’ve been working on podcasts,” he told The Daily Dish at the time as he was launching his podcast, More Life with Carl Radke. “Shameless plug.”
He went on to add where you can find him when he has some time off. “And, you know, separate from Soft Bar, separate from work. I like spending time with my friends. I love my family. I care a lot about food. I’m a big foodie. Very active — running is great, but I do hot yoga. I love movies and documentaries. I also love sporting events. So if you don’t see me filming, you don’t see me working on Soft Bar, you’ll probably see me at a concert or a sporting event here in New York. I love the Brooklyn Nets. Nothing against the Knicks, but I’m a Nets fan,” he said.
He added, “I love going to hockey games. I love going to basketball. So yeah, I try to really enjoy the fruits of New York City. ‘Cause there’s a lot to do here. Even when you don’t drink.”
