Brooke appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday, May 21, where she opened up about Rowan’s plans for the future. “She wants to be in broadcast journalism. She likes being on camera. She works for other news stations,” Brooke recalled. “And I said, ‘Parlay this into something and be right to the right people and be the hard worker.'”

During her appearance on WWHL, Brooke acknowledged that Rowan “has been in the public eye since she was in utero,” but she did have some advice to give her oldest daughter before she joined the cast of the Bravo show. “I said, ‘Look, don’t be the girl throwing up. Be the one holding the hair back of the girl throwing up,'” she explained to Andy Cohen. “My mom used to say, ‘Don’t be the girl that, as you’re being carried out, you hear, ‘Did she have a purse?'”
Brooke also revealed that she was familiar with Next Gen NYC cast member Ariana Biermann. “Before filming really started, Ariana had come over to my house, she and her boyfriend,” Brooke admitted.

What to expect from Rowan Henchy on Next Gen NYC Season 2
The 23-year-old New York native will be figuring out post-grad life in her hometown on Next Gen NYC Season 2. Per her cast bio, “A recent college graduate, Rowan is setting her sights on a career in entertainment, which is no surprise as the daughter of actor Brooke Shields and writer, director, and producer Chris Henchy. Currently living in her childhood bedroom in New York, she’s on a mission to figure out what’s next.”
In the trailer, Rowan can be seen talking to Next Gen NYC cast members, Emira D’Spain and Ava Dash, over dinner as “the new girl.” She can also be seen hanging out with her mom in their kitchen before handing her an urn filled with the ashes of her grandmother.
Viewers will get to see all of this and more when Next Gen NYC Season 2 premieres on Bravo on Wednesday, June 24, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. New episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
