Controversial new couple Amanda Batula and West Wilson both told host Andy Cohen that they were feeling surprisingly calm before the storm that ensued on Part 1 of the Summer House Season 10 reunion.
Prior to the taping kicking off, Andy visited Amanda and West in their shared dressing room backstage at the reunion to check in on how they were feeling about coming face to face with a majority of their castmates for the first time since their dating scandal erupted in late March.
“There’s nothing new that can be told today,” West explained to Andy, while Amanda chimed in, “The truth is already out, yeah. It’s just gonna be, like, shutting down the rumors.”
When Andy asked, more specifically, how Amanda was feeling about facing Ciara Miller, she added, “I mean, there’s a lot of guilt. Like, that’s my friend. … It kills me that, like, I’m the one that caused her any pain.”

Either way, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host went on to observe that Amanda and West seemed “very calm,” to which Amanda replied, “We’re trying to be.”
After Andy departed, West declared that their conversation was actually “not bad,” but as Amanda warned him, “That’s nothin’.”
Inside Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s backstage discussion at the Summer House reunion
Earlier, when West arrived to find Amanda waiting for him in their dressing room, he kissed her before noting a personal reunion first in that he had always gotten ready with the guys across the hall, in past years.
When he asked Amanda how she was doing, she admitted, “I just don’t know if I can’t breathe because I’m, like, anxious, or ’cause my corset is so tight.” He answered that both were likely true.

Eventually, Amanda posed the same question to West, who insisted, “Yeah, I’m good. Actually, I feel zen.” Either way, once he made his entrance onto the reunion stage, West shared with Andy that he was wearing no less than four “sweat guards” and had more ready to go, if needed.
Amanda Batula and West Wilson opened up about their reunion intentions
West, meanwhile, was a bit more forthcoming about his pre-reunion nerves in an exclusive backstage interview with BravoTV.com, revealing that he was decidedly “not stoked” to be there.
“But also, I think there’s a lot of good truth to be told today,” he added. “And as scary as today is, good things can come from today as well. … I think the timeline of this very new relationship is important to address because there’s a lot of different speculations.”
As for his hopes for where he might stand with his castmates by the reunion’s end, West continued, “I don’t picture everything being perfectly kosher after. But I hope my accountability and genuine-ness reads through enough that we leave today thinking that progress can be made down the road.”
Amanda, for her part, also spoke to BravoTV.com, pre-reunion, similarly declaring her own plans to provide clarity within the group.
“This is obviously the most nervous I’ve been, easily,” she admitted. “But I’m ready to face the chaos and clear everything up — the timeline, that there’s no affair and nothing malicious, and it’s just two people that had feelings for each other that shouldn’t have.”
Amanda’s reunion intentions? “I know that I might not be able to make amends with everyone,” she conceded. “But I’m hoping that after I say my piece and clear everything up, people will be able to walk away, process, and hopefully there’s some people I can move forward with. I know that it won’t all be forgiveness, but I’m hoping that there will be a path forward in some capacity.”
