Referring to Billy as her “soul mate” in an exclusive interview with BravoTV.com, Alicia, more specifically, felt she “threw him under the bus” while discussing their conflict over a prenuptial agreement and finances that ultimately contributed to them putting their marriage on hold.

“I was just very honest and raw, but it’s hard to hear, you know, watching it back,” Alicia explained. “But we’re great 1781495421. I would leave him in two seconds if I was in a bad situation. But just like any relationship, we definitely have our issues.”

Why RHORI‘s Alicia Carmody and Billy still aren’t married today

On RHORI, Alicia had previously opened up about her frustrations over the fact that Billy had not added her name to their home or businesses, particularly Pizza Mamma, which she’d played an instrumental role in creating. She also had their heir 9-year-old daughter, Celina, to consider.

While elaborating to BravoTV.com on why she and Billy never got married, Alicia reiterated, “I didn’t like how I had to sign the prenup at first, and then I was like, I’ll just do it later on. It’s like I got anxiety about the actual commitment, ’cause like, what if it doesn’t work? Then it’s a divorce. But if we’re not married and we’re still together, that means we obviously love each other.”

That said, Alicia revealed that the prenup discussion between her and Billy usually comes up “at least twice a year.” She added, “I’m not the type of guy that brings it up all the time ’cause it’s draining for me too. But yeah, it comes up like twice a year.”

As for whether or not there was anything she wanted to clear up about her and Billy’s relationship, Alicia further shared, “I love Billy and I definitely talked about our problems, but I feel like I’m trying to be open and honest. But he’s the best thing that ever happened to me. He literally changed my life and saved me from dating horrible men. He gave me my beautiful daughter, so he’s worth it.”

Alicia Carmody shares an update on wedding planning

The reason for Billy’s second proposal, Alicia explained on RHORI, was that the first time around, she was eight months pregnant and “so sick” with bronchitis that she couldn’t even get out of bed. Needless to say, it wasn’t the “fairy tale” that she had envisioned. “He didn’t get on his knee,” Alicia recalled to a producer. “And I had so much mucus. I needed a fudgsicle. So I had a fudgsicle and I went to bed. That’s how I got engaged.”

Billy made up for it during the finale’s Block Island couples’ trip, getting down on one knee and proposing to Alicia while encircled by candles and roses arranged in the shape of a heart. According to her post-finale update in Episode 12, “Alicia and Billy are planning their wedding.” What’s more, she “has taken more control over Pizza Mamma and is working on a crack-ah line of her own.”

When asked in her recent interview if they’re “any closer to getting married” today, Alicia revealed that Billy has since given her a brand-new engagement ring. “So that means maybe I’m gonna marry the guy,” she joked. “I have to. You know, I would die if he ever left me. I need him in my life.”

When it comes to Alicia’s vision for their upcoming nuptials, she offered some details on RHORI: “I want an all-white wedding. Bubbles. I want my daughter in pink. I want a mermaid gown. Baby steps.” Later, she added, “My name on the house is my next mission. That’ll take another nine years.”
