Kyle Cooke is opening up about his post-split dynamic with his ex, Amanda Batula, after four years of marriage. After the Summer House cast members announced in January 2026 that they were splitting, Amanda began dating West Wilson in March, resulting in Kyle having a lot of “emotions” about the new relationship.

Kyle spoke with BravoTV.com backstage at the Summer House Season 10 reunion, now streaming on Peacock, where he admitted that West and Amanda’s relationship hit him “a little different.” “I’m just trying to rise above it all and not let my emotions get the best of me, which is pretty much what I’ve made a living here on Bravo doing,” he explained. “So I’m just trying to be cool, calm, and collected.”
He continued, noting that he and Amanda were trying their hardest to have an amicable separation before she started seeing West, who is one of Kyle’s friends. “Amanda and I were working so hard to have an amicable break,” he admitted. “We’ve seen some of our friends have absolutely horrific public splits, and we were kind of doing OK and this was an uppercut.”

Backstage at the Summer House Season 10 reunion, Kyle noted to BravoTV.com that he was experiencing a flood of emotions and “cried” the night before the reunion taping. He added, “It’s a little surreal, I’m not going to lie. I feel like we’ve gone through a lot as a cast. “
As for the Amanda and West timeline, he noted, “I mean, look, I know everyone is very laser-focused on the timeline. I’m going to be honest, I don’t know if we’re ever going to truly get to the bottom of that.”

Some people thought that Kyle and Amanda’s relationship was improving after photographers captured the exes smiling and laughing with each other in NYC after they taped the In The City Season 1 reunion. However, Kyle took to his Instagram Story after the reunion taping, where he admitted that they were laughing after having a brief conversation in the elevator on the way down.
“Amanda and I were headed down the elevator, walking out the door, and just kind of laughing, like, ‘Can you imagine if there’s a photographer that captures us walking out together?’ And then boom, that’s exactly what happened,” he recalled during the now-disappeared Instagram Story, according to Us Weekly. “That causes us to laugh even harder, and yes, that’s all that there was to it, guys. That’s all there was to it, my God.”

Kyle has revealed that Amanda has reached out to a lawyer amid their separation. The In The City cast member spoke with PEOPLE earlier this month, where he revealed that he received an email from Amanda’s lawyer in mid-March, showing that she was taking initiative in the divorce proceedings.
Kyle told the publication that he thought “it was kind of weird” for “someone who doesn’t take a lot of initiative.” “I’m like, ‘Wait, is there some ulterior motive in terms of why she’s all of a sudden expediting the divorce?'” he asked.

Kyle Cooke reveals Amanda Batula hasn’t moved out of their apartment
Although Amanda has taken the first steps in their divorce and has since moved out of their shared apartment, Kyle told the publication that she still hasn’t moved all of her items out of there. However, he hopes that she will be able to do it soon, with the help of West. “I’m trying to be as patient as I can be, but I think my patience has run out,” he said. “I think she has a boyfriend that can come over and probably help pack up a car. I will not be there.”

Amidst it all, Kyle revealed that he is looking to have some fun being single this summer. “I’m traveling a lot, so I’m not even really in a position to date in New York. I’m having fun,” he said. “I will 100 percent be single this summer because I’m looking at my calendar and I’m like,’Yeah, there’s no chance for me to even date locally.'”
While some single Bravolebrities might understand his busy schedule, including his rumored romance with Southern Charm‘s Salley Carson, the Loverboy founder and DJ admitted that he hasn’t even looked into who is eligible on the network. “I don’t even know who’s single, who’s not,” he explained. “I’m in my own little world at the moment.”
