Kyle Cooke and West Wilson’s one-on-one sit-down in Summer House: The Aftermath included a shocking revelation that left one of them calling for a “timeout.”
In the special Season 10 bonus episode (now streaming on Peacock), West stopped by Kyle’s apartment in New York City just less than a month after they faced off on the reunion stage. Despite how “weird” they both felt about getting together, the two kept the conversation going, addressing such topics as Kyle’s lingering worries involving West’s true intentions for his newly romantic relationship with Amanda Batula.
“Do you think you’re honestly, like, ready to, like, settle down and be in a committed relationship where you’re faithful?” Kyle asked West, who answered, “Um, yeah, I do.” Before he could elaborate, Kyle added, “Do you love her?” As West assured him, “Um, I mean, yeah … I said ‘I love you’ that night I left your guys’ room, to her. I really care about her a f–k ton.”

Realizing that West was referring to when he consoled Amanda after their fight last summer, a stunned Kyle declared, “Wait, timeout. How long have you had feelings for her? Like, beyond friendship.” West, for his part, slammed the “timeline s–t” and maintained that he and Amanda were not “hooking up” last summer. He admitted, however, that they “had been close” prior to their feelings for each other turning romantic in February 2026.
Kyle went on to point out that there’s a major difference between feeling “love” and being “in love.” As he explained to West, he’d appeared alongside Lindsay Hubbard on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen the previous night, for example. “I was like, ‘I love you,'” Kyle said. “I’m not in love with Lindsay.”
As West clarified, “I haven’t gotten to the point where I’ve told [Amanda] or myself that I’m, like, in love or not. But, like, I do, like, love her and, like, have. I have cared about her for a very, very long time, and it’s hard to say that f–king right to your face.”
He continued, “I hope and I am looking forward to the way that I do care and will treat Amanda to at least, like, lighten the f–kin’ worry that you have or the thought that this is, like, just a f–king joke and I don’t care about anyone. Like, again, that only takes time, but, um, I do hope and think that will help.”
Kyle Cooke unpacked his worries about West Wilson and Amanda Batula’s relationship
As Kyle also explained to West, there’s “still love” between him and Amanda, and as such, he was “worried” about his estranged wife. “I mean, dude, she hasn’t even been single,” Kyle said. “I do think she could’ve benefitted from some time where she’s focused on her.”
West, for his part, said that he agreed, but added, “That was a conversation we had multiple times where I said, ‘Do you think you should be single for a while, or, like, just not hop right into this? And I could only ask it so many times, and the answer was the same. It all, like, it looks bad. Like, I get that 100 percent. I’ve tried to be…” That’s when Kyle interjected to say, “I want her to be happy, man. I just, I worry that you’re gonna break her heart, if I’m being honest with you.”

Conceding that he’s a “commitment-phobe” who hasn’t had “good relationships for the longest f–king time,” West responded, “Yeah, I know. And I’m not gonna sit here on this couch right now and, like, be able to convince you that I’m this f–king changed perfect person overnight. But I can tell you that my relationship with Amanda is the first time it’s ever come from, like, a steady, three-year friendship where, like, there’s nothing performative about it. There’s no… No one’s trying to, like, prove anything. Like, I know who she is; she knows who I am.”
What West Wilson did (and didn’t) apologize for to Kyle Cooke
That said, West also told Kyle, “I regret so many f–king things, but the one thing I cannot regret and I’m not gonna … take back is my feelings for Amanda and, like, developing feelings and caring about her. I won’t. I can’t apologize for that, because it happened.”
Earlier in the meetup, which was filmed on May 20, West had also brought up all of the friendships that were also impacted when he admittedly “lied” to Kyle, Lindsay, Ciara Miller, Jesse Solomon, and his ex Meija Moreno. “There’s so many layers to this, but, like, the friendship part of this, uh, has been really hard to process,” West said. “To watch it fully implode with other people who you care about, who I care about, um, f–kin’ sucks. … it’s really f–kin’ hard to know that something special, like, I f–kin’ super fractured.”
When Kyle stated that he also owed Meija some sort of apology, West said, “Yeah. I have owed, unfortunately, a lot of people apologies.”
Now that Summer House Season 10 has come to an end, revisit what happened when Kyle confronted West on the reunion stage.
