In the newly released first look at the Next Gen NYC Season 2 premiere (airing Wednesday, June 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo), Emira D’Spain volunteers to play the narrator role, before going on to share updates on several returning cast members, including Ariana Biermann, Riley Burruss, Ava Dash, Brooks Marks, Georgia McCann, Hudson McLeroy, and Charlie Zakkour.

“If we’re gonna Gossip Girl this, I’ll give you the scoop,” Emira declares in a confessional. “This group, if you can believe it, it’s gotten even more chaotic.”

Before delving into said chaos, she reports that Brooks is “still Brooksy,” though he has “randomly started baking sourdough bread.” Riley, meanwhile, is “on the Asia leg of her Riley world tour” and recently placed a 3 a.m. FaceTime call to Emira and Ariana from a club in Korea. From there, however, her Next Gen NYC cast updates take much more serious turns.

Charlie Zakkour faced alleged legal drama ahead of Next Gen NYC Season 2

For starters, Emira reveals, “Charlie had quite the interesting summer. Most people spend it in the Hamptons; Charlie almost spent it behind bars.”

Though she doesn’t elaborate in the video clip, an onscreen graphic sheds more light on Charlie’s alleged legal drama after filming Season 1 of Next Gen NYC (now streaming on Peacock).

His former friend Georgia also brings up the situation while meeting up with Ava later on.

Ariana Biermann broke up with Hudson McLeroy and moved out of their shared apartment

Prior to filming Season 2, Ariana and Hudson broke up. After Emira notes that “Ariana is on her own,” a brief flashback to four days earlier shows The Real Housewives of Atlanta daughter tearfully opening up to her and Gia Giudice about the split.

“I broke up with Hudson, so I’m moving out in like a couple of days,” Ariana shares. “This is my first time on my own.”

From there, the sneak peek rewinds a bit further to 10 days ago, with cameras rolling on Ariana and Hudson’s breakup conversation. “The question is: Is this still good for me?” she tells him through tears. “And it’s not. I’m really sorry.”

Ariana says, “I really wanted this to work,” prompting Hudson to predict, “I think one day it will.” At that point, he’s already gotten up to hug Ariana and said he’s sorry as well.

In a confessional, Ariana adds, “We were together for like 10 years on and off, but, like, I’ve never gone through a breakup like this. Hudson is my best friend, and that was why it was so hard to walk away.”

On the professional front, Ariana, who notes that she signed an influencer deal to document her move-out on social media, admits that she’s also scrapped her clothing line collaboration with Hudson from Season 1. Conceding that she doesn’t have “the best style” anyway, Ariana explains, “Hudson and I facing all these problems over the last year, I can’t imagine us going into business together.”

Georgia McCann details her choice to go to an inpatient program

As Emira discusses the need to tune out online commentary as someone in the public eye, another headline notes that Georgia has been on the “path to recovery from an eating disorder.”

In a separate producer interview, Georgia describes herself as having been a “really private person” who rarely even posted photos of herself prior to Next Gen NYC premiering last year. “All of a sudden, I was super public,” she recalls. “Everyone’s commenting about my body, nitpicking everything. It was very, very difficult.”

She continues, “It felt very drastic, going into an inpatient program, but it was literally the best decision of my entire life. You guys are seeing me again in, like, a really, really good place, which is awesome. I grew up a lot from this.”

Ava Dash addresses bankruptcy and eviction rumors

Finally, even more headlines update viewers that not only has Ava’s father, Damon Dash, filed for bankruptcy, but the Next Gen NYC cast member has also reportedly been evicted from her $10K-per-month Manhattan apartment.

“I honestly love seeing what people put out about me and my family and my life on the internet,” Ava claims in a producer interview. “I think it’s funny, at the end of the day. Some things are so wrong, it’s just like, ‘Whatever, I’m not gonna comment on it.’ But some things are so right, and I’m like, ‘How the f–k did they know that?'”

She goes on to at least set the record straight on her reported eviction though, explaining, “Just to be clear, I was not evicted. I may have gotten a notice. Who hasn’t?”

Ava also updates Georgia that her relationship with wrestler Hook (aka Tyler Senerchia) is still going strong, though he’s been traveling to a new city every week for work.

Ava’s friendship with Charlie, however, appears to be less solid, as she tells Georgia that she “literally never” sees him, even though they are neighbors.

As you await the premiere, don’t miss details on where to watch Next Gen NYC Season 2.
