Gia Giudice may still be living at home in the Garden State on the Next Gen NYC Season 2 premiere, but she’s now teasing both a move and an update on where she stands with her longtime boyfriend, Christian Carmichael.

“This is a long time coming,” she shared of her preparations to leave her mother Teresa Giudice and stepfather Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ Montville, New Jersey home. However, Gia also detailed her move will be a solo one.
“I thought when I would move out of my house, it would be with Christian,” she added during Next Gen NYC‘s June 24 premiere. “Christian and I have been together for six years. But, I wanted to tackle this on my own.”
She previously shared she was excited to be taking the leap by herself. “Even though I am in a relationship, he’s super supportive [of the move] too,” Gia said when she was on the Sherri show in October 2025. “I’m doing this on my own, so I’m very excited to be doing this by myself.”
Gia Giudice shares details of moving into her first apartment
Gia officially moved into her first apartment in Jersey City, New Jersey in November 2025. Her mother sent her off with a “Bon Voyage” cake, and Gia shared on social media that both her stepdad, and boyfriend were helping with the move.
“Moving is obviously really exciting but super scary,” Gia admitted on her Instagram. “I have always just loved being at home with my family and just being here with everybody. But, this move is definitely necessary, just for me, my life, and my career, and I’m so excited for these next steps.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter documented everything about the move, from the assembly of her furniture, to her new views.
“Bella’s loving it,” Gia captioned a photo of her dog sitting before floor-to-ceiling windows with gorgeous, expansive views of the city.

Gia’s apartment also has mom Teresa’s approval. “I’m so happy for her…her apartment’s beautiful, oh, my god,” Teresa commented during a Dec. 2025 interview with Bravo Insider. “Now, after seeing her apartment…I wanna move into an apartment, because I love the view and her skyline. Like, it turns pink, red … it’s beautiful. The sunset, it’s absolutely incredible.”
Teresa continued, “I love the big windows from ceiling to floor. She has all the windows, like, in her kitchen and in her bedroom. So that’s my favorite part of her apartment.”
Gia Giudice reveals when her boyfriend Christian may move in with her
Although Gia is celebrating her new independence in Jersey City, she revealed she may be getting a roommate soon: her boyfriend, Christian.
“Now that I’m here, obviously, he sees how amazing it is,” Gia mentioned in her Dec. 2025 appearance on her mother’s podcast, Turning the Tables. “I’m sure he’s going to move [into the apartment] in 2026 at some point.”
She added that living alone has helped her relationship with Christian. “He knew that this was something that I wanted to do. I came to realize that I love being on my own and being by myself,” she confessed. “I think your partner has to be understanding. Understand what you need at points in your life. And we’ve both done a pretty good job at that.”

Gia wished Christian a happy birthday in April by posting a series of photos from their relationship with the tribute: “Happy birthday to the boy who makes me the happiest girl in the world. Six years with you and somehow every year just gets better. Cheers to celebrating you and all the love we’ve built together. I love you more than words today, tomorrow, and always.”
