Ariana Biermann’s probation for an alleged DUI was among multiple legal issues that the Next Gen NYC cast was navigating in the Season 2 premiere.
During Emira D’Spain’s birthday bash in Episode 1 (streaming on Peacock beginning June 25), Ariana revealed that she hadn’t “been able to drink” since May 2025. “I got arrested for a DUI,” she shared of the 2022 incident. “It wasn’t true.”
Ariana went on to confirm that, when a Georgia police officer pulled her over, she’d refused a breathalyzer test, resulting in what she referred to as an “immediate DUI.” She explained, “My dad always said, ‘Never blow.'”Â
A bit later, Ariana added, “They waited three years to do anything about it.”

Meanwhile, new cast member Liam Obergfoll, who’d taken an immediate romantic interest in Ariana, commented, “My dad always says, ‘Never give them a reason to blow.'” When a producer asked him in a confessional how he felt about Ariana’s probation, he replied, “I think it’s pretty hot.”
Inside Ariana Biermann’s single life on Next Gen NYC Season 2
Given that Ariana broke up with her longtime boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy, earlier in Next Gen NYC‘s June 24 premiere episode, Liam might actually have a shot with her, too. At least for the time being though, Ariana’s focus remained on moving to a new apartment in Brooklyn and being on her own for the first time amid her and Hudson’s split.
As for why Ariana and Hudson ended their relationship, she tearfully explained to him during their breakup conversation that she’d simply realized their dynamic was not “good for” her anymore.

“Since I was 14, I saw this boy who I loved, who I wanted to help,” Ariana elaborated to a producer. “He always called me when he was down bad. He knew I was gonna be there, because I care about this person so deeply. And they deserve somebody to be there and hold their hand. And then, as time went on, I kind of realized nobody was holding mine.”
She continued, “I felt very alone. I told him six months ago, ‘Please, I don’t want to do this. We’ve built a life together. You don’t take me on dates; you don’t do any of these things. Like, come on. Like, I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to help you.’ He just needs to grow up.”
Regardless, Ariana insisted to some of her friends during Emira’s party that she and Hudson remained “cordial” with each other, as they both figured out their futures in separate living spaces.
That’s not all that’s changed in her life at the start of Season 2: Ariana also updated viewers that she’d decided to scrap her “big idea” of launching a clothing line with Hudson. “I don’t have the best style,” she said, referencing castmate Ava Dash’s Season 1 dig about her fashion sense. “Hudson and I facing all these problems over the last year, I can’t imagine us going into business together.”
What to expect from Ariana Biermann on Next Gen NYC Season 2
Needless to say, viewers can expect to see Ariana embarking on several new adventures this year. As her official Season 2 bio teased, “After ending a decade-long, on-and-off relationship with Hudson, Ariana is navigating life on her own for the very first time. Newly single in New York, she’s stepping into the dating world with fresh eyes (and a few promising suitors) while trying to figure out who she is and what she wants her life to look like.”
Aside from Liam, Charlie Zakkour might also be among those with their eye on Ariana. In the Season 2 trailer, Riley Burruss referred to Charlie and Ariana as a “new dynamic duo” amid their playful interactions at a group dinner. Elsewhere in the sneak peek, someone asked Charlie over speakerphone if he hooked up with Ariana, but the preview cut away before he could reveal his answer.
