According to Cole McBee and his fiancée, Kacie Adkison, Steven McBee Jr. is “doing good.” Steven, the oldest McBee brother and a cast member on The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 3, has been through a lot in the wake of their father Steven McBee Sr.’s prison sentence and his breakup from his ex-girlfriend, Allie Eklund.

But, according to Cole, things are looking up. “He’s doing good,” Cole told Bravo Insider earlier this month. “He’s been working on himself, and that’s what he needs to do right now. He just needs to focus on himself, and getting through, and that’s what he’s been doing. He’s doing really good.”
“He built a meditation deck,” Kacie added. “Yeah, he meditates now,” Cole confirmed.Â

By adding things like meditation to his life, Cole continued, “He’s really trying to work on his calm self. I think, mentally, he’s probably in one of the best spots he’s ever been in, especially in the last few years.”
“I think he’s as happy and as peaceful as he’s ever been right now with himself and actually happy with his life,” Cole noted about his older brother. “And not just trying to find happiness in someone else like he’s always been.”
“Which is good, because when Steven’s at peace, everyone else can be at peace,” Kacie explained.

Steven McBee Jr. shares a look at his life on the McBee family farm
Steven has continued to share his own look at his life today on his Instagram account. He took to Instagram on June 22, where he posted a video of himself hanging out on the farm with a guitar on his lap while she sat beside his dog, Sitka. “No peace on Earth like a back porch in the country,” he wrote over the video. He then took to Instagram on June 25, where he showed off his peaceful place, which involves taking a dip in his hot tub, surrounded by horses. “Build a life you don’t need to escape from,” he noted in the caption of the post.
He’s also been spending so much time with his family members. On Instagram in late June, he posted a video of himself showing his niece, Blair Collins McBee, the animals on the McBee family farm. He also posted a photo of himself hanging out with his mom, Kristi McBee, in Kansas City, Missouri. “Taking this gem of a woman out for dinner this evening! Momma McBee is one of one.”
Steven McBee Jr. shares his plans for the future
Steven Jr. spoke with Entertainment Tonight earlier this month, where he admitted that he’s focusing on so many aspects of his life amid being single. “I am going to pour into my family, pour into my work, and pour into myself most importantly to try to become the man I know I can be,” he said. “And be prepared and ready for that next opportunity. To know, ‘Hey, I do want a family.’ I see my nieces now, I want to have kids too. And so that I’m ready for the next time it happens, and just make sure I also am working towards being the person that would attract the right person that fits in with the family.”
