Lindsay Hubbard Breaks Fourth Wall in Danielle Olivera Fight

After making “baby steps” toward progress, Lindsay Hubbard and Danielle Olivera’s friendship took a giant leap backward during a shocking, fourth-wall-breaking fight on In The City.

How to Watch

In The City airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. Episodes stream next day on Peacock.

Amid multiple arguments at Yvonne Najor and Nick Barber’s wedding dinner in Episode 7 (streaming on Peacock beginning July 1), Danielle accused Lindsay of “finding information from the internet” about her man, Eoin Heavey. In the midst of their heated back and forth (more on that below), Amanda Batula entered the fray, eventually declaring that she “was literally trying to clear Eoin’s name,” as speculation arose regarding the timeline of his marriage to his now-estranged wife.

When Danielle, in response, questioned why Eoin would even “have to clear his name” in the first place, Lindsay broke the fourth wall, venting, “Why is he on this f–king show?!” Just when Danielle began to explain that she had “introduced him” to the group, Lindsay fired back, “Why are you on the f–king show?! If you don’t want to talk about your f–king life…”

Lindsay’s comment appeared to set off a light bulb for Danielle, who pointed her finger at her and responded, “That’s what it is. You showed your f–king colors right there. … You hate that I’m here.”

Denying that to be the case, Lindsay added, “I sat at The Garret and I defended you, knowing a lot of s–t about you.”

When Danielle first broached the subject, Lindsay expressed confusion over why “everything’s always blamed on” her. She went on to explain what had been discussed during a “boys’ night” that she joined at Gavin Moseley’s West Village bar, The Garret.

“Why is it that I’m the one bringing this s–t up?” Lindsay asked. “I was at The Garett with the boys, and they had a lot to say about Eoin. The boys had a lot to say about Eoin. The boys. And I said, ‘OK, well I only operate on facts.’ So, what does any girl do? Let’s find the facts. This is very typical of you, Danielle.”

Danielle clapped back, “Oh, it’s typical of me? If we are baby-stepping in a direction, I would think that maybe you could text me and be like, ‘This is what the boys are talking about.'” Further detailing how they’d been working toward repairing their friendship rift, she continued, “And the first thing that you do is Google [Eoin] to try to sniff out something that he’s doing wrong.”

Following more interjections from their In The City castmates, Danielle explained that Eoin’s divorce is “a very sensitive f–king subject.”

Referencing subjects in her life she has shared on the series, Lindsay replied, “So is co-parenting. So is mediation.” The difference, according to Danielle, was that she’d “never poked and prodded” into Lindsay’s situation with ex Turner Kufe.

A bit later, Lindsay insisted that her “point in asking questions” about Eoin’s marriage was simply to make sure that she was good. Danielle scoffed at the claim, however, clapping back that her well-being was “so far from” Lindsay’s mind.

Danielle eventually got up from the table and exited the dinner amid what she referred to as a “bulls–t” debate on whether or not she had “changed” in recent years. As Danielle departed, Lindsay shouted, “Yeah, it’s bulls–t that we f–king talk our truth and you don’t.”

Where Lindsay Hubbard and Danielle Olivera’s “turbulent” friendship stands today

In a joint confessional with Eoin, Danielle theorized about exactly when her and Lindsay’s friendship began to crumble. “I was her ride or die for years and then I started growing out of it,” she said. “And then I think that’s when we started having our falling out.”

Danielle continued, “I kind of pushed back a little bit more. She doesn’t like when you are not radiating positive reviews about her. When she’s doing all of this, it makes me feel like she doesn’t want to see me happy, she doesn’t want me to be in a good place. It’s definitely the most turbulent friendship I’ve ever had.”

More recently, Danielle offered an update on her friendship with Lindsay, in an exclusive June 2 interview with Bravo Insider. “Lindsay and I [are] figuring out our friendship as we go, taking the baby steps,” she revealed. “It’s rough because I think that the friendships are what matter most, but then you have, you know, our own relationships kind of.”

As the drama continues on In The City, don’t miss Lindsay’s full breakdown of her issues with Danielle.
