While introducing Prez to viewers in Episode 2 (streaming on Peacock beginning July 2), Georgia underscored the stark contrast between him and her ex, Omar Zaki. “Prez is my new boyfriend, and he’s a completely different, like, ballgame,” she said. When castmate Ava Dash asked, “Isn’t he in crypto though?” referring to the fact that Omar also works in that space, Georgia made another important clarification.

“He’s not in crypto, he’s crypto-adjacent,” Georgia explained. “I actually know what my boyfriend is doing this time around.”

Read on to find out everything we learned so far about Georgia’s new boyfriend, Prez, on Next Gen NYC.

How Georgia McCann met her new boyfriend, Prez Thomas

During an event in Episode 2, Charlie Zakkour asked Prez how he and Georgia started dating. “We met at a dinner party around six months ago,” Prez revealed. “And then that gave birth to this beautiful, fiery romance, which we’re in the beginnings of.”

Georgia hard-launched her relationship with Prez in October 2025 by posting a blurry Instagram photo of them kissing which became fodder for her castmates in the episode.

What does Georgia McCann’s boyfriend Prez Thomas do for a living?

Currently, Prez is the chief marketing officer for FactMachine, a company that bills itself as an opinion market through which users can “wager not on what will happen, but what people believe.” He previously co-founded a meme exchange company, Dank Bank.

As Georgia described Prez’s job to Ava, “He is building a, like, betting platform, and it’s opinion-based. So, they run a poll every day, and it’s like, ‘Is Mamdani’s wife hot? Yes or no?’ Like, you’re kind of betting on what you think the majority opinion is. They got a lot of funding from, like, crypto places, because he used to kind of be in crypto.”

“Prez and I are one week apart, same year,” Georgia shared with a producer. “Born in the same city. He’s a New Yorker, which is, I think, very important for me.”

Another thing the two have in common is that they don’t prioritize hand-washing. During a date over high tea in the July 1 episode, Georgia asked Prez if he had gone to “manners school” while growing up. Neither had received such training, however.

“First of all, being a little bit of a slob is kind of cool,” Prez said, prompting Georgia to reply, “Thank you, that’s why we’re so perfect. You don’t wash your hands; I don’t wash my hands.” When he clarified that he doesn’t wash his hands “as much as [he] used to,” Georgia asked if that was “because of” her. Prez responded in the affirmative.

“Like, how did I find him?” she wondered in a confessional.

Prez Thomas’ connection to Rowan Henchy, explained

Before he met Georgia, Prez was already well-acquainted with another Next Gen NYC cast member: newbie Rowan Henchy, whose mom is Brooke Shields. “My boyfriend knows Rowan’s family, like they’re family friends,” Georgia said, while Rowan added, “I wouldn’t necessarily say we summered together, but he would always kind of be around, growing up.”

In a joint confessional with Rowan, Georgia further remarked, “Prez, he’s one of the few people I’ve dated who I’m like, they’re so normal that I’m like, ‘You can’t be crazy this time.”

Rowan, for her part, chimed in, “But he doesn’t dim your craziness,” and Georgia agreed.

In a solo interview setup, Rowan also remarked, “Georgia was telling me, ‘Prez is just a little upset because I keep eating in his bed.’ She keeps eating chips in his bed and filling the bed with potato chips.”

Why Georgia McCann did not want Prez to befriend Charlie Zakkour

When Georgia spotted Prez talking to Charlie during a cast event, she vented to Shai Fruchter, “I hate this.” Clocking that Georgia was staring at them, Charlie asked if she wanted to join them, but she declined.

“I don’t know why my boyfriend’s talking to you either, because that didn’t end well last time,” Georgia told Charlie, referring to his friendship and professional relationship with Omar. (She had already accused Charlie and Omar of “stealing” her nightclub business idea.) After breaking up their conversation, Georgia asked Prez, “What are you doing? That’s my arch-nemesis,” but he said that he didn’t know “the politics” of the situation.

In a confessional, Georgia unpacked how she wanted her new boyfriend to remain “untarnished” by Charlie. She elaborated, “Prez is just like [a] cute, like sparkling, unbothered ball of light. And you have Charlie, who’s just like prickly, like dark, like I don’t know. Do not infiltrate my perfect man, please. The last time you got your hands on an ex, I was betrayed.”

As she navigates her budding romance on Next Gen NYC, don’t miss Georgia’s exclusive guide to the city, including her takes on brunch, subway etiquette, and more.
