Cole McBee shared updates on the McBee farm business
Cole continued, sharing updates on how the farm is doing now. “Things are good,” he said. “We’ve made the biggest changes we’ve ever had, stopping farming and row cropping. So that’s been a pretty big hurdle to get over, doing all that. But we are finally getting through everything, and we’re starting to really point in the right direction with our cattle herd.”
“You know, cattle prices are at an all-time high right now with cattle numbers across America being as low they’ve been for 75 years. So cows are really good,” he added. “Cow calf pairs are really good, which is what we run. We’re a cow-calf pair herd. And the guys like us are finally getting paid what they deserve to get paid. So it’s a good time to be a cow calf pair guy. And we’re doing good.”

Cole McBee shares an update on dad, Steve McBee Sr., in prison
Cole also shared a major update on Steve McBee Sr., who is currently serving out a two-year sentence in prison due to federal crop insurance fraud. While Cole and his brothers are currently running the farm, they are also taking their time to visit their dad, who is in South Dakota.
“It’s kind of sad, but it’s kind of funny because we’re getting through it and we’ll be fine,” Cole said. “My dad, you know, this is a tough situation, but he’s doing good. And he’s a very cup-half-full type of guy. He always sees the best side of every situation and tries to get through things, so he would laugh about this, too.”
