Although her wedding band has been updated, Nia revealed she still wears the original engagement ring with which Danny proposed in October 2014. Danny opened up about popping the question to Nia during The Valley Season 2 After Show. Their engagement took place on a New York City terrace, just months after she was crowned Miss USA 2014.
“I brought her over, had an intimate moment of just talking, and telling her how much I love and adore and care about her, and got on a knee, and asked her to marry me,” he shared on the After Show.

Nia recently opened up to Bravo Insider about what’s next for her and Danny in their marriage.
“We’ve never talked about a vow renewal,” she admitted. “I feel like we’re good and locked in. But, if there’s another reason to celebrate, why not? You know, we love celebrating.”

After he proposed, Nia and Danny appeared in an episode of Say Yes To The Dress before tying the knot in October 2015. They said their vows at the Temecula Creek Inn in the foothills of the Santa Margarita Mountains in California, and followed it up with a honeymoon in Costa Rica.
As they marked their tenth anniversary in October 2025, Nia posted a sweet tribute to her husband in an Instagram reel. “This man has seen me through so much and has truly been the man I need,” she captioned the post. “He’s stuck with me through winning crowns, travels, loss, infertility, postpartum depression and raising small children. It’s been wild, fun, hard, exciting and so much more. I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else.”

Nia and Danny’s marriage has been tested during The Valley Season 3, as they welcomed their fourth child, Adelaide, just months ahead of filming.
“I feel like there’s certain times where Daniel and I aren’t really, like, attuned as much as I’d like us to be,” Nia admitted to producers of their dynamic during Episode 6. “I don’t know, I feel off with it.”
As the two bickered during the cast trip to San Diego, Nia conceded things weren’t perfect between she and Danny at that moment in time.
“One thing with me and Daniel, in our relationship in general, yes, we have tense moments; yes, we can be short with each other,” Nia acknowledged during Episode 8, adding later, “Sometimes we’re in this beautiful season where, like, everything is really good, and sometimes it’s not. And what people will see through this, like, window of time is, like, there were so many tense moments, and we were short with each other and had short fuses a lot.”

But, Nia added that she and Danny are committed to making their relationship work. “That doesn’t mean that we have a bad relationship,” she explained. “It just means that we were having hard moments. And we’ll keep working on it, because we’re in it for the long run. And we’ve been together for a long time. And we know that those moments don’t define our entire relationship.”
