St. Louis, Missouri – Global music star Lionel Richie has sparked concern among fans after he was admitted to the hospital following a performance in St. Louis.

According to a new report from TMZ, the 77-year-old singer suddenly felt unwell towards the end of his set and asked for a chair to sit on as he played his final song.
Richie is said to be in intensive care at the moment for possible dehydration. He hopes to be discharged from the hospital sometime on Tuesday.
This isn’t the first incident of its kind: back in June, Lionel Richie had to cut his concert in St. Paul, Minnesota, short due to a similar health scare.

At that time, Richie told the audience he was feeling “dizzy” and “strange,” and he was quickly taken to a hospital to receive some tests.
The All Night Long artist had to postpone some subsequent shows to recover, but when he returned to the stage, he joked, “I had you worried there for a minute, huh?”
“You have no idea what I have been through in the last 24 hours, listening to my friends tell me their advice on what I should be doing,” he added.
Richie’s next scheduled performance is on September 26 in San Francisco as part of his co-headlining tour with Earth, Wind & Fire.
