Where the Next Gen NYC Cast Stands After Season 2 (EXCLUSIVE)

In the shocking Next Gen NYC Season 2 finale, even the cast members themselves were in disbelief over where their friend group ended up amid some unexpected hookups and fractured friendships.

The Next Gen NYC crew — including Ariana Biermann, Riley Burruss, Emira D’Spain, Brooks Marks, Ava Dash, Gia Giudice, Georgia McCann, Charlie Zakkour, Shai Fruchter, Hudson McLeroy, Rowan Henchy, and Liam Obergfoll — had ultimately come together for a “next chapter” party when the drama reached its peak.

“I did not see things landing where they did,” Brooks told a producer, while Ava, separately added, “What’s happened in the last three months, no one would have guessed.” When Ariana asked, “How did we get here?” Ava answered, “Don’t know. Truly, gonna watch it, ’cause I don’t know.”

Ariana Biermann’s life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

After kicking off the season with her and Hudson’s breakup, Ariana’s love life grew even more complicated when she pumped the brakes with new love interest Liam and immediately made out with Charlie. The Sept. 9 episode’s epilogue revealed that she spent Christmas Eve 2025 with Liam, but it was implied that Ariana and Charlie also continued hooking up.

Addressing her behavior in an exclusive post-filming interview with Bravo Insider, Ariana said, “I’ve forgiven myself. I hope you can too.”

Is Ariana dating Charlie today?

No. As Ariana told Bravo Insider, “I don’t want to be around Charlie. I want nothing to do with that horrible human being.” 

From there, she went on to detail how Charlie had “manipulated” her by using her devotion to her Christian faith to falsely win her over.

As for the rest of the friend group, Ariana noted that she’s still on great terms with almost all of her castmates. She added, “Gia and I are best friends. Emira’s one of my best friends. Riley’s one of my best friends. Brooks, Shai, and I are extremely close as well. I’m really friends with everybody. There’s only a few people that I don’t get along with.”

During the Season 2 finale, Riley admitted that the past year had been “super hard” for her, in the aftermath of mom Kandi Burruss’ divorce from Todd Tucker. “I don’t know how to navigate this,” she admitted. “Todd has been in my life since I was a kid, so it’s hard figuring out what this new normal looks like.”

In addition to learning to speak Korean, Riley said she’d been applying to schools. A move back to Atlanta wasn’t out of the question either. “I feel like I really have a village there,” Riley added. “I miss a lot of things. I probably would have seen the divorce coming if I was there.”

Gia Giudice’s life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

After filming wrapped, Gia invited her Next Gen NYC castmates to join her on a trip to the Bahamas, where her father, Joe Giudice, currently lives. “I try to visit my dad at least five times a year, but this was special, all my friends being there,” she told a producer.

By the end of Season 2, Gia and boyfriend Christian Carmichael, meanwhile, were still were on different pages regarding sharing their lives on camera. “Being in the public eye, it definitely is a sensitive topic,” Gia explained in a confessional. “I mean, we’re still trying to figure out how we’re going to proceed going forward. … I just want the ring. And I want him to be, like, living with me.”

Are Gia and Christian still together?

Yes. What’s more, Gia shared on the Next Gen NYC After Show that she and Christian are planning to start looking for a place together this fall. “We don’t necessarily have a timeline of when we’re gonna get married,” she added. “I think it’s kind of whenever it happens, it happens. But I would say, like, my timeline is I would love to be moved in and engaged and married by 30.”

Throughout the course of Season 2, Ava broke up with boyfriend Hook (aka Tyler Senerchia), moved into her own apartment, and, in a shocking turn of events, started hooking up with Shai. After filming wrapped, however, Ava and Shai are no longer exploring a potential romance.

Professionally, Ava updated Next Gen NYC viewers that she had signed a contract with Ford Models New York. The model and an influencer also said that her career goals for 2026 were to “do more beauty stuff and also more editorial stuff,” in order to “elevate” her Instagram content.

Shai Fruchter’s life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

Shai told Bravo Insider the status of some of his castmate friendships today, including that he’d recently “started chatting more” with Riley, whom he now considers to be a “close friend.” He’s also “still chatting” with Charlie.

“Ariana and I have gotten much closer,” Shai added. “Her and I have supported each other through different things in our lives. So I think that was like really impactful.”

After Season 2, he’s similarly “gotten much closer” to Liam. “Since ending filming, Liam and I have hung out a lot more,” Shai said. “I feel like Ariana was more the roadblock in getting to know Liam, because he was spending all this time with her, rather than getting to know some of the other people in the group. But I think since we finished filming, he’s taking the time, and I’ve taken the time, to hang out more and talk more. He’s a really cool guy.”

What happened between Shai and Ava?

Shai revealed to Bravo Insider that his and Ava’s romance fizzled post-filming. “Ava and I were really close for a while,” Shai said. “We’re a little bit less close now. That’s something to be figured out.”

In fact, that About Time designer added on the Next Gen NYC After Show that he’d been “seeing someone recently,” before noting that it was “nothing serious.”

Emira D’Spain’s life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

Even despite feeling “violently unwell” at the time, Emira marked a major career milestone in the Season 2 finale by shooting her “first international cover” for Marie Claire. 

What’s next for Emira’s modeling career?

Emira’s post-filming update revealed that she went to Milan Fashion Week with Gucci.

Elsewhere, on the After Show for Episode 12, Emira detailed how she got her start in modeling. After rising through the ranks at Paper magazine, eventually becoming the publication’s beauty director, the NYU grad signed with Victoria’s Secret. After quitting her magazine job, Emira described her role with the fashion brand as the “catalyst” for her career today.

“More modeling stuff just came out after that,” she said.

Brooks Marks’ life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

Brooks missed Gia’s post-filming Bahamas trip with their castmates at the “last minute” because he’d accidentally left his passport in Austin, Texas.

As the Next Gen NYC reunion trailer made clear, he also went into the cast sit-down, which was filmed on July 30, with some lingering issues with both Shai and Charlie.

What’s next for Brooks’ fashion line?

On the professional side, Brooks said in the finale that one of his main goals for his eponymous fashion brand is to start building out his “retail presence.”

Georgia McCann’s life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

During the Season 2 finale, Georgia described her new boyfriend Prez Thomas as her “dream partner,” but the two broke up, post-filming.

“He’s one of my favorite people I’ve ever met in my entire life, but we’re not compatible,” Georgia explained on Gia’s podcast in late July, noting that their split “wasn’t out of the blue.”

By the end of the season, she was still working toward launching her own cleaning product company. In the interim, Georgia released a collection of poems titled Blue Afternoon. Explaining her foray into poetry, she told a producer, “I say shoot for the moon. If you miss, you land among the stars — or whatever that quote is.”

Georgia said she’s found a way to co-exist with Charlie and the rest of her castmates. “You get older, and you realize, like, that peace is better than war,” she said. “I’m good with everyone right now. Even Riley and I reached the Catskills Peace Treaty of 2026.”

Charlie Zakkour’s life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

During summer 2026, Charlie spent time in the Hamptons with some of his castmates, including Ava and Shai, as well as Kyle Cooke. “We went out with Kyle and, like, had a whole night with him,” Charlie said on the After Show. “It was really funny.”

Perhaps nobody will have more to answer for at the reunion than Charlie, however.

The sneak peek previewed Charlie clashing with Ariana, Emira, Georgia, Liam, Brooks, and Hudson, as they rehashed their Season 2 drama.

Hudson McLeroy’s life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

During the finale, Hudson returned to NYC and met up with Ariana. Describing her as his “happy place,” he also told his ex that he will “always love” her. As mentioned, his and Ariana’s post-split reconciliation did not last, however.

Are Hudson and Liam friends?

Despite calling out Liam for disregarding his earlier warning about pursuing Ariana, the two ended the season posing for photos together. After all, they’d bonded over their shared views on what Liam referred to as “all the Charlie bulls–t” with Ariana.

“I should’ve known better that the devil always has a bigger and deeper plan than anybody ever realizes,” Hudson said on the Next Gen NYC After Show, referring to his and Charlie’s short-lived friendship.

Even though Ariana informed Liam that she no longer wanted to set a boundary with Charlie, the two still celebrated the 2025 holidays together. “Even after everything, me and her spent Christmas Eve at the house,” Liam revealed in a confessional. “I don’t know what I’m doing. What the f–k?”

Remarking on their romance ending, he added, “It sucks. I know it’s gonna be different, but I’ll always have feelings for that girl. She is a special person.”

Where does Liam stand with Ariana today?

Liam and Ariana moved past the drama and remained friends, he recently explained to Page Six: “She was honest with our communication and the things we spoke about. She’ll say she made some mistakes, and maybe she did, but I don’t knock her for just being human.”

Rowan Henchy’s life after Next Gen NYC Season 2

Newbie Rowan ended Season 2 sharing “some exciting news” about her career with dad Chris Henchy. She updated him over a FaceTime call that she “got a job back in journalism” as a booking producer that was set to begin in January 2026.

“There’s a world in which I could be an entertainment journalist right now, but then again, like, I love making TikToks,” Rowan added in a confessional. “I’m also writing a movie. I’m at a point in my life where I can put myself in all these different parts.”
