Fraser Olender shared a big update on his love life during the Below Deck Season 13 premiere, as he opened up for the first time about his split from comedian Matt Rogers.

Noting the two were on “pause” at the time, the chief stew told producers during Below Deck’s Oct. 12 premiere, “Technically, I’m still available for any deckies that want to have a cute little kiss here and there.” He then joked, “But ultimately I’m hired to do the job, not to take away the girls’ boys.”
The couple first went public with their relationship after appearing at BravoCon 2025, where Fraser said at the time he was “very happy,” while Matt added, “I have no complaints on the levels of love.”
As Fraser chatted with returning stew Rainbeau de Roos during the Oct. 12 episode, he admitted just how serious his relationship with Matt had become. “I fell in love with a man, and I still love him very much,” he said.

How did Fraser Olender and Matt Rogers meet?
Matt opened up about how he and Fraser first met when he appeared on TODAY with Jenna and Sheinelle in June, and revealed it was all due to a “classic DM slide.”
“He was invited to the Culture Awards last year and couldn’t make it, so he said something nice about the awards in an interview, and I slid in his DMs and said, ‘Hey, thanks for saying something nice.’ And now, he’s my guy,” Matt shared.
Matt said Fraser’s chief stew personality definitely came out while the two dated. “It’s funny though, whenever I’m doing too many things for him, he’s like, ‘Let me look after you. Let me look after you,'” Matt recalled during his June WWHL appearance.
“I think one of my favorite things about him is his voice,” he added. “He’s lovely. He’s as lovely as you probably can guess.”
How long did Fraser Olender and Matt Rogers date?
Fraser and Matt dated for close to a year. Matt shared on his podcast that he and Fraser began dating in August 2025, about three months before BravoCon. But by April, Matt revealed that he and Fraser were “[taking] a little bit of space.” According to PEOPLE, the two officially parted ways in July 2026.

Why did Fraser Olender and Matt Rogers break up?
Fraser shed more light on his “space” away from Matt during Below Deck’s Oct. 12 premiere, hinting that the charter season contributed to what he called a “pause.”
“We had a fabulous few months dating, and because I’m about to be away for the next two, three months—so is he with his schedule—we decided to put things somewhat on pause,” he explained to producers.
But, he added the two weren’t completely cutting off communications while Fraser was aboard M/Y Azul V in Thailand. “Stay in touch as much as we feel like we want to, and see where we’re at when the season finishes,” Fraser detailed of his plans with Matt.
Fraser shared more of his love for Matt when he confided in Rainbeau, “Whilst I’m away, we’re kind of just like supporting each other from afar.”
We do know Matt made the journey to Thailand to vacation with Fraser in March, as the two posted selfies on Instagram while lounging at the five-star resort in Phuket and its pool. “The unwind of it all,” Fraser commented at the time.
