The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader was previously arrested on September 23, 2025, when she was charged with DWI. At the time, the Southlake Police Department said they responded to a single-vehicle crash and found “a black Cadillac Escalade that had struck a tree.”
A month later, Rycroft replied to a comment on her Instagram page, writing, “Life really sucks right now and I’m struggling, but I’m trying to march forward….but thank you for the sweet words in what seems like a world of negativity….”
In addition to serving a 20-month probation, Rycroft was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and additional court fees, including a “trauma fine.”
Rycroft rose to fame on Season 13 of The Bachelor, where Jason Mesnick dumped her after initially proposing to her during the season finale. Following her very public breakup on The Bachelor, Rycroft rekindled her romance with Tye Strickland, whom she married in 2009.
She and Strickland went on to welcome three children and starred in their own reality show, Melissa & Tye, which ran for one season on CMT in 2012.
