CUDAHY, Wis. (TCN) — The jawbone of a missing 19-year-old woman who was dismembered after a first date in 2024 was discovered along the shore of Lake Michigan, police confirm.
Sade Robinson was last seen on April 1, 2024, going on a first date with Maxwell Anderson.
The Associated Press reports Anderson and Robinson met at a bar a week before she was killed. Investigators learned the two had beers at a bar on their first date before going back to Anderson’s apartment. Photos from his phone showed him groping Robinson as she lay face-down on a couch. Prosecutors say that he killed her, drove her car to the shore of Lake Michigan, and dismembered her body before taking the bus home.
Robinson’s car was found set on fire the next day, and one of her legs was recovered near a golf course. Anderson was arrested on multiple charges on April 12, 2024. More of Robinson’s remains were found at two separate locations later on in April and May 2024.
Anderson was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse, and arson in June 2025, according to The Associated Press, and was later sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The victim’s father, Carlos Robinson, told the judge, “Everything that he did should be done to him. … No man should be able to live after what he did. That’s just how I feel. I can’t get past this. I can’t.”
On Nov. 5, an attorney for Robinson’s family announced at a press conference that their daughter’s jawbone had been found along the shore of Lake Michigan by a walker on Oct. 30. Dental records confirmed the remains as belonging to Robinson, People reports.
According to an online memorial tribute, Robinson was a college student studying criminal justice at the time of her death.
