The victims – 21-year-old Madison Mogen, 21-year-old Kaylee Goncalves, 20-year-old Ethan Chapin and 20-year-old Xana Kernodle – were found stabbed to death on November 13 at an off-campus apartment in the small college town of Moscow, Idaho.

In an interview with Fox News, Goncalves’s father, Steve Goncalves, said he is disturbed by the possibility that the person who murdered his daughter might try to attend her memorial service.

“We wouldn’t want to do some kind of celebration and exclude anyone, so he could easily be there, and that’s the sick kind of twisted person that would do this kind of crap,” Steve Goncalves told Fox News.

The grieving father added that he suspects the killer is likely basking in media attention on the case.

“Who does something like this and doesn’t tune in to the media? Who wouldn’t? It’s in his one-hundred per cent selfish interest,” Steve Goncalves told Fox News.

He added: “I want this guy to be scared. I don’t want him to be confident. I’m not going nowhere until this guy’s off the streets.”

As Crime Online previously reported, Kaylee Goncalves’ mother, Kristi Goncalves, expressed similar concerns about holding a funeral in an interview last month, telling KHQ-TV: “It makes me sick thinking that person could be right behind us.”

Investigators believe the victims were murdered between 3 and 4 a.m. Two victims were found on the second floor, and two victims were found on the third floor.

Two surviving roommates who were not attacked were on the first floor of the three-floor residence. Police believe the surviving roommates played no role in the killings.

Investigators have not yet identified any suspects in connection with the slayings and are urging the public to provide any information that may be relevant to what happened that night.
