WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam has told fans cutting back on sugar contributed to his body transformation.
Van Dam revealed his ripped physique on social media and claimed he had been ‘depleting’ himself of sugar for three to four weeks.
The 52-year-old had made the revelation after discussing sugar’s ‘addiction factor’.
‘I’ve been depleting sugar for 3 or 4 weeks,’ Van Dam tweeted.
‘Not that I ate a lot of it, but cutting back has made me feel way better. “This is me right now”.’

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam revealed his ripped physique in a social media post
Van Dam’s post has prompted fans to suggest the former WWE champion should make a return, with the star asked by a fan about which company he would like to appear for prior to retirement.
‘The names of the companies isn’t enough to go on, but I feel even better than I look,’ Van Dam wrote. ‘If you don’t see me popping up somewhere, someone’s got some ‘splainin to do.
‘Of course, my continuance of posting unpopular opinions might be a factor.’
Van Dam was elected into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 in honour of his career, which includes a WWE Championship and six International title reigns.
He gained popularity in the 1990s after his appearances in Extreme Championship Wrestling, before signing with WWE when the ECW closed in 2021.

Van Dam won his the Intercontinental Championship from William Regal at his first WrestleMania.
He won the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 22 in 2006, and challenged reigning WWE champion John Cena for the title.
Van Dam claimed the title from Cena in New York City, before becoming the ECW champion for the first time after the brand was reborn.
The American featured on independent circuits after leaving WWE in 2007, before returning from 2013-14.
