Teddi Mellencamp is officially dating amid her divorce from her ex-husband, Edwin Arroyave. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has been through so much this year with her cancer battle with Stage 4 melanoma, but recently opened up about the “very kind” man in her life who has been helping her through it all.Â
Teddi took to her podcast, Two T’s in a Pod, on Tuesday, June 3, where she opened up about her boyfriend, who is a “private person.” “There’s no big story to tell here,” she said. “I’m in a position where I’m dating. And yes, I’m dating a guy.”
“He doesn’t stay at the house with the kids, but like, we go to workouts together, we’ve gone on dates, he’s been really nice, he’s been very kind to me,” she added, noting that she went public with the relationship after photographers caught them on a walk together.
“He’s a really sweet guy,” she continued, noting that he’s not related to the horse world, which Teddi is actively involved in.Â

Edwin, whom Teddi filed for divorce from in November 2024, has been “great,” according to Teddi. “He’s been really kind to me,” she noted.
She further noted that he has continued to be supportive of her through her cancer journey. “If I ask him to come to an appointment, he’ll be there,” she added. “But, also I am dating, and I don’t ask him what he’s doing. But he knows, like, there’s no big secret or scandal here. He knows I’m dating.”

Teddi revealed that she and Edwin are currently staying in two separate houses. And, she is never at her house alone. “I don’t sleep at the house by myself,” she said. “Like, I either have a nanny that sleeps over, or Edwin will sleep over. We’re not necessarily nesting anymore, but he stays down in the guest room.”

Teddi previously spoke with Extra in April, where she revealed that she and Edwin are putting their divorce “on hold” as the tumors in her lungs and brain continue to shrink. “We’re not together, but we put, like, all the divorce stuff on hold because getting divorced is very stressful,” she explained.
“He’s a good guy, and we’re having a friendship, which is what we liked about each other in the first place, making each other laugh and all those types of things, so I think it’s been really nice,” she continued. “We call it the divorce chronicles, where we just tease each other.”
