After Amanda Batula got together with West Wilson and Ciara Miller for lunch on October 22, 2025 during Episode 3 of In The City, the show fast-forwarded to May 2026.
Prior to the jump, Amanda had been talking about how West had “really been there” for her amid her and Kyle Cooke’s marital issues. Then, in a more recent confessional interview, an In The City producer interrupted Amanda to say, “I think we need to talk about this from now,” referring to the fact that Amanda and West had just confirmed they were dating.
The producer went on to ask how Amanda really felt about West while filming their October lunch with Ciara and if she had “any inkling of a crush” on him at that point.
“No, this was my friend,” Amanda insisted, while breaking the fourth wall. “I know exactly what people are going to think when they watch this scene. It’s bizarre, but in this moment, these are my friends. These are two very important people to me that have helped me get through this very weird time in my life and my relationship with Kyle. Like, I’m so happy right now.”

What Amanda Batula told West Wilson and Ciara Miller on In The City
During the trio’s lunch outing, which was filmed roughly two months after the events of the Summer House Season 10 finale, Amanda grabbed West and Ciara’s hands from across the table and remarked, “Look at us! This makes me so happy right now. … This is my dream.” After West commented, “Mine too,” Amanda joked, “Yeah. West has been fighting for this his whole life.”
In case you need a refresher, when Summer House viewers last saw Ciara and West in the Hamptons, the exes had shared some late-night kisses after repairing their friendship a bit earlier in the season. As Amanda added on In The City, “Recently, West and Ciara have become best friends again too, so I have like my perfect little trio.”
Back at the lunch, Amanda wasted no time dropping a bombshell about her and Kyle’s living situation. “Speaking of homes, you are picking me up at my new one,” she revealed to the duo, as she had strategically selected the site of her future apartment for their initial meetup location. “I’m moving out by myself.”
Naturally, Ciara and West had plenty of questions, including when her move was going to take place. “ASAP would be wonderful,” Amanda admitted.
West asked if she felt “proud” to be taking such a “big step,” to which Amanda replied, “Yeah. Let’s walk and talk at lunch.” Ciara, meanwhile, chimed in, “Damn, I have so many questions,” before eventually telling Amanda, “I’m so proud of you.”

Back at the lunch table, Amanda recapped for West and Ciara how she informed Kyle that she was moving out on their fourth wedding anniversary. She clarified, however, that they were “not legally separating,” nor were either of them “single.” (This, of course, was all filmed before Amanda and Kyle eventually announced their split months later in January 2026.)
“He seemed to be prepared for it based off of a conversation you guys had on the beach,” Amanda told Ciara. “So he wasn’t, like, fully blindsided, and I had told him that I was, like, looking for places. Like, OK, this is a good thing. This is gonna be temporary.”

One thing that still hadn’t improved, according to Amanda, was Kyle’s partying. She went on detail how he’d recently come home at 8:00 in the morning after a night out. That prompted West, who’d gone out with Kyle days earlier, to ask, “In therapy or whenever you talk to him, are you ever like, ‘Quit f–king doing this or I’ll f–king leave your f–king bitch ass?'”
After Amanda confirmed that she had, West added, “Not one moment ever since I’ve known Kyle has he ever shown signs of, like, chilling out. I don’t see it stopping, like, tomorrow, unless there’s a threat … or an ultimatum.”
Following more discussion on the logistics of and reasons behind Amanda leaving her and Kyle’s apartment, the swimwear designer concluded, “I’m trying to stay optimistic because I feel like if I think about everything too much, I’ll cry. And I feel so overwhelmed and, like, stuck … I think that, like, that’s why I’m also sort of looking forward to this move. Because I’m doing it to help us because we can’t be stuck in this cycle.”
Ciara’s final word on the matter? “We’re rooting for you. We’re always rooting for you.”
