When Next Gen NYC reunion host Andy Cohen realized that Ariana Biermann was “beating herself up” over her complicated Season 2 romances with castmates Liam Obergfoll, Charlie Zakkour, and Hudson McLeroy, he made a heartfelt plea that left her in tears.

During Part 2 of the Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion, Ariana was unpacking the “emotional” experience of watching back how her actions had impacted Liam specifically when Andy offered some friendly advice. “Give yourself a break,” he told Ariana, reminding her that she’s only 24 years old.
From there, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host continued, “Your heart was in the right place with Hudson. He was going through this terrible thing. You’re exploring things with Liam. The bad boy of, you know, Manhattan is, like, dangling a carrot at you. So, like, just give yourself a break. It’s like, don’t beat yourself up.”

As Ariana’s castmates chimed in with similar words of support, Andy added that he was “just getting a vibe” that she was still being hard on herself. “Are you beating yourself up?” he questioned, prompting Ariana to reply, “Definitely,” while wiping tears from her eyes. That’s when Andy asked why she was doing that.
“I think it was a really tough point in my life, and I didn’t fully realize that,” Ariana explained. “I wanted to give my all to somebody and I thought I could, and I couldn’t. And then I just kind of went down this spiral.”

Referring again to how she kissed Charlie immediately after pumping the brakes with Liam, she tearfully continued, “Watching it all back was horrible. And it sucked. And [Liam] didn’t deserve that. That’s not who I am. That’s also, like, not how I move or operate. It’s not an example of somebody who’s a woman of God. It’s an example of somebody who’s, like, not who I am. It’s gross. Ew.”
Fellow The Real Housewives of Atlanta daughter Riley Burruss said that she, too, had noticed that Ariana “has been beating herself up a lot for a while.” Riley went on to assure her bestie that “no one’s judging” her, but Ariana still responded, “I don’t need anybody to judge me. I do it myself.”

Moments later, Liam offered Ariana some comforting words about her romantic “mistakes,” insisting that he had no hard feelings. At the quiet urging of castmate Ava Dash, Charlie, later, also attempted to console his former fling.
“Over the time I spent getting to know you, you were really hard on yourself,” Liam said. “Even if you make one little mistake, we all f–kin’ make mistakes. Do you know what I’m saying? … You’re 24 years old. You just moved to New York with a guy you loved. And then you guys break up and now you’re alone in a city that you just moved to, and you don’t really know what’s going on.”
He added, “Look, you were given attention by two guys. It must’ve been f–kin’ great. Make mistakes. Live your f–kin’ life. Do what you gotta do. Like, we’re all here. No one’s judging you.”
Charlie, for his part, admitted that he was “a huge reason” why Ariana was feeling that way, leaving him with little ground to stand on. “But I feel like the connection we had was very real,” he said. “Obviously, a huge part of why you’re feeling so, like, bad about it is because of the way it affected Liam. And obviously, if I could go back, as I’ve told you recently in, like, essays of paragraphs, I would do so much different.”
